This is a great small theater. As I understand, it is operated by volunteers because the community didn't want to lose their theater. The seats are very comfortable, the sound system is excellent, and the screen is large. Nothing cut rate about the auditorium. It is impressive that the community of Oberlin is providing a theater of this quality for their residents. Be prepared for a slightly different experience when you enter the lobby. There is no ticket window. You buy pop corn, bottled soda, and other treats at the counter then pay for you snacks and tickets at a table. It's a bit different, but it works. Read moreI love this theater. The picture and sound quality was great and the seating was very comfortable. The ticket prices are good as are the snack prices when you compare them to other theaters. The other people there were respectful and everyone was good about turning off their cell phones and not flashing them around during the movie. The all volunteer staff was very friendly and helpful. They even have devices you can use to hear the movie if you are hearing impaired. I have been to several movies here and plan to go back...
Read moreNice theater with lots of room between the rows of seats. Volunteers take turns running the place. Have a great Hunt Brothers pizza next door at the bowling alley, then catch a great movie. Hated to see the young people roll their partially filled popcorn containers down the slope at the end of the movie making a big mess for the volunteers to clean up.
