While I am extremely grateful that Carter Chevrolet was able to get me into a brand new 2025 Chevy Silverado quickly â especially after my husband had taken my previous vehicle and I urgently needed reliable transportation â Iâve been disappointed with several aspects of the experience.
The team did move quickly to get me into something that met my needs, but after driving the vehicle for a short time, I began noticing issues that shouldnât exist on a new truck. There is a static noise every time I start the vehicle, and sometimes when I arrive at a destination, I hear a series of strange clicks â occasionally very loud, other times more subtle but still concerning. The engine noise also fluctuates, sometimes loud and rough under acceleration, other times smooth, which doesnât feel normal for a brand-new vehicle.
When I brought this up to the salesman, I was told that I would receive a phone call from the service department, but instead I received a generic text message, which felt very impersonal and unprofessional considering the situation and the fact that I had just purchased a brand new truck.
Additionally, when I picked up the vehicle, there was an oily residue on the inside of the doors, and the truck did not appear to have been detailed to the same standard as my previous purchase from Carter Chevrolet.
Finally, during pickup, one of the employees began videoing me while I was seated at Trevorâs desk. At first, I thought it might be for a dealership promotion, but it quickly became clear that it was not. It was simply an employee recording me personally, which made the situation extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. Additionally, I was extremely embarrassed as I had a lot of my personal belongings with me, and it made me very self-conscious. I had already had to take an Uber from Norman out to Okarche and had a really weird experience with a gentleman who claimed to be an ex-Marine. He claimed his wife had been the former assistant district attorney of Cleveland County, and he was trying to get me to call her from his phone on the ride. I was already under a lot of stress with weird situations that day, so the employee videoing me with his phone definitely did not sit well with me.

   Read moreTook our truck in for a check engine light. They replaced the evaporator pump and was covered by warranty. In addition they cleaned injectors replaced spark plugs and serviced transmission. During the transmission service they cracked the case where the cooling lines go in. They immediately ordered a new transmission on their dime! The transmission is a 8 month back order. So with them thinking outside the box they sent my truck to a performance shop to see what they could do. The performance shop remanufactured my case with steel instead of aluminum making it better than before. They paid for there mistake and even gave me a 100,000 mile 3 year warranty on the repair of the transmission. This dealership has been nothing but top notch! Check engine light returned after two days. Took it in and discovered the evaporator canister was bad and they replaced it no charge to me. I will always use this dealership for all my car buying and servicing needs. P.S. they were able to get me in immediately compared to another Chevy dealer in Enid that said they were three weeks out to even diagnose my check...
