Ace Hardware Mustang — Local services in Oklahoma City

I'm only giving 2 stars because I don't want to be "that guy" that only leaves 1 star. I researched some things I needed on line and it said "in stock" at this store. After searching the store I couldn't find what I needed, so I asked for help. The guy behind the counter said "oh we don't have that" and when I showed him my phone where it said in stock he said something like "well the website is wrong" When I go to O'Reilly Auto parts they say " we don't have it in stock but we can certainly order it for you" and tell me when it will be available for pickup, in many cases same day. Having that in mind I asked if he could look up the part number, he did but it was as if it was a huge inconvenience. Then said "still no". So I pulled up several other part numbers that would also work for me all of which said "in stock". When I kindly asked if the other part numbers could be looked up he said something along the lines of "if it's not on the shelf we don't have it". Feeling the tension and vibe that this gentleman has no interest in helping me. I left, got in my car and drove to the Bethany store. I walked in and was immediately greeted and asked "how can I help you" I showed them what I was looking for and they brought me right to where it was. I told them what I was doing and they understood and even pointed out that I needed an additional part that I gladly purchased saving me another trip to the store. Without writing a 3 page review telling the entire backstory, I will try and give the highlights. I bought a chainsaw at Atwoods, but they didn't have the hard case. So I went to Ace, and they had the hard case, along with the same chainsaw I had just purchased, but $20 cheaper. It was a bit of a task, but I was able to return the Atwoods chainsaw, and buy the one at Ace. It was difficult because I was getting it for my grandfather, who wasn't with me. The guy helping me had to call the manager for some help, and although the manager didn't know me or even talk to me in person, treated me with the upmost respect and customer service. I was SO impressed. I was stoked when this Ace was built in Yukon, and every time I have went there, have been taken care of. The store is clean and very nice. I will certainly go to Ace first for anything they have, even if it may be more expensive than other places. Top-notch...

I have been twice. Nice, clean store. However, both times there was only one employee so customers were always waiting for help. Both times I went to purchase paint samples. Both times the employees told me they were not trained to make paint samples. These were two different employees. Can you imagine that? Going to a place that sells Benjamin Moore paint only not to be able to purchase it? I won't be going back until/unless the manager responds here and states there will be multiple employees and they will be all be trained in making paints. Also, one was quick to tell me they were closing soon upon walking in the door. Yes, I know. But there was time. It felt like I was being told...
