DO NOT GO HERE! Extreme Negligence and Disrespectful Treatment – A Nightmare Experience
My family had a horrific experience at the newly opened Oklahoma location. What was supposed to be a fun family outing ended in complete chaos, gross negligence, and flat-out disrespect—not only from the staff but also from Officer Adam (badge #2522) of the Oklahoma Police Department.
After playing games, we sat down to eat in the bar area. When we finished our meal, our waitress, Savannah, took our credit card to process the bill—and then disappeared for over 20 minutes. During that time, a busser named Tay came to clean the table, and we asked him to find her so we could get our card back and leave—our kids were tired, and it was late.
When Savannah finally returned, she had the nerve to ask for our card again, completely forgetting—or denying—that we had already handed it to her. This began a nightmare that lasted nearly 3 hours.
Eventually, a manager named Rico reviewed the footage and informed us that Savannah had given our credit card to someone else, and that person had already left the premises. Shockingly, Savannah never stopped to look for our card—she kept taking other orders like nothing had happened. I had to ask a hostess to escalate to management because Savannah was acting like this was just a normal night.
The General Manager, Andrew, initially couldn’t even confirm what Rico told us about a customer leaving with my card. When I asked to see the footage myself, they refused and said only the police could view it. So, we asked them to call the police.
When Officer Adam arrived, instead of listening or treating the matter seriously, he was condescending and dismissive. He interrupted me and scoffed, “It’s 10:30 at night, people make mistakes. What do you want to do? File a report or something?” His tone was aggressive, like we were the problem—not the ones who lost a customer’s financial information.
It was clear we were being treated differently—and not just by the management staff, but by law enforcement as well. We were made to feel like criminals for asking for basic accountability. I had to beg for another Officer to even review the footage. The management staff was evasive, unhelpful, and slow to act the entire time. After all that waiting, when the officer finally went to view the video—suddenly, the card was “found.” How convenient.
The management staff didn't offered a sincere apology. The management staff didn't take responsibility.
If I were white, blonde-haired, and blue-eyed, I have no doubt this situation would have been handled with urgency, care, and basic human decency. But because we are Black, we were treated like we were the ones at fault for speaking up.
This wasn’t just bad service—this was a shocking failure of responsibility, integrity, and respect by both the establishment and law enforcement. I will never return and strongly urge others to avoid this place at all costs.
Most of the food was overpriced and lacked flavor. We ordered brisket quesadillas, mozzarella bites, lemon pepper wings, nachos, mahi tacos, the Rucker burger, and a strawberry lemonade. The wings were the only standout. Nachos were bare, quesadillas and tacos were bland, and the $11 lemonade was just strawberries in water. The burger was big but came with terrible fries.
The games were okay but also overpriced. My favorite was the hot shot free throws. You will get a better value going to Main Event. The facility itself is very nice in the inside. My family didn't get to drive the karts because when we arrived at 6pm the rides were sold out to 11pm. Had I known I would be out that late dealing with the Police, I would...
Read moreExtremely unfortunate experience. I expected growing pains but this is something else.
I showed up at 5:20 on a Monday night with a group of 10 to a quarter full parking lot and waited two and a half hours to drive (that's a very short wait). It took about 30 to 45 minutes up at the counter to get registered and payed up and most people in the group loaded $10 on our play cards for laser tag, which is what the front desk told us to do.
We went over to laser tag to burn some time as there was no line. We were quickly greeted by an attendant who told us there was a ~30 minute wait as a party was showing up soon, so we set a 30 minute timer and went to eat. The food was passable. A little overpriced but that was to be expected. After 30ish minutes, we went back over to laser tag. Within a minute, the party which was supposed to have arrived about 30 minutes ago showed up and got priority, which is totally understandable, but that only leads me to think laser tag was entirely empty for over 30 minutes waiting for this party AND that there is literally zero schedule for the staff to follow. Of note, there are no signs or TVs around laser tag listing party bookings or wait times, the only wait time estimate is what the attendant can guess, as we experienced.
We waited another 30 minutes before it was our turn and multiple people's cards didn't work. Turns out loading money on the card only works for the arcade, you can't use it to pay for any other attractions, contrary to what the front desk said. We went over to the front desk to get this rectified. By the time we had laser tag ready on all our cards, our karting slot was a half hour away, so we stopped worrying about laser tag and went to go karting.
Smooth sailing to start, we checked in, watched the unnecessarily long safety brief (I'm pretty sure it was longer than our time on track), got our helmets, and went out to the karts. We then discovered two of our ten were put on a different track, so we waited another 10 minutes for that to be fixed. 25 minutes after our report time, we finally took to the track. After the outlap we got a green flag for all of 20 seconds, which would set a precedent. We did not get a single full lap under a green flag and I completed 7 laps. While I understand this is mostly driver error, other karting places I have been to at least make an effort to get a full lap in. Here, they don't. It doesn't matter how long you wait, you will only get your alloted time even if it's all under yellow. Sorry, better luck next time. Another major thing of note: The wall which is moved to open up the pit lane when the race is over was open for about half of the 'race'. It stuck out into the track, covering about 2/3s of the road and is situated on a blind hairpin, an insane safety violation if you hit it at full speed. I suppose it's for the best we spent the majority of the race under yellow given how inattentive the staff were.
Everyone in the group was completely done with the experience and the only reason this place gets two stars is because management gave us a full refund for karting and laser tag. Any money loaded on your card for the arcade? Tough luck, they can put it on a gift card for you for later. I understand this place is new but it's part of a national chain. I wouldn't believe for a second this place had any procedures in place outside of the bare minimum to schedule karting. Hopefully Andretti can fix their issues in the coming months, but I can't say I...
Read moreA Balanced Review of Andretti Indoor Karting & Games While online reviews for Andretti Indoor Karting & Games present a mixed, and often negative, picture, a firsthand visit suggests a more balanced assessment is warranted. The venue offers several high-quality attractions, though it is not without its operational challenges. This review provides a comprehensive overview of its strengths and areas needing improvement.
Highlights Indoor Karting: The marquee attraction, the indoor go-kart racing, lives up to its reputation. The high-speed karts and a well-designed, smooth track deliver a genuine thrill. The implementation of safety protocols is evident throughout the experience.
7D Xperience: This motion simulator and interactive shooting game is a standout attraction, providing a highly engaging and immersive experience for guests.
Classic Attractions: The facility offers solid renditions of classic entertainment options. The laser tag arena is enjoyable, and the duckpin bowling lanes are well-maintained and provide a fun diversion.
Arcade: The arcade features a diverse selection of games with enough variety to appeal to a wide range of interests and age groups.
Facility and Staff: The restrooms were observed to be clean and spacious. Furthermore, the majority of staff members were friendly and helpful when assistance was requested.
Areas for Improvement
Pricing Structure: The primary drawback is the cost. A la carte pricing for individual attractions can make a visit prohibitively expensive, especially for families or groups. Food and beverage prices are also high (e.g., $4 for a soda), offering poor value. While seasonal promotions may provide a better deal, the standard pricing is a significant consideration.
Arcade Card Limitations: Patrons should be aware that the "unlimited" arcade cards have notable restrictions. They are not valid for prize-redemption games, select ticket-based machines, or premium VR attractions. This limitation could be communicated more clearly to customers.
Karting Queue Management: The process for karting is inefficient and lengthy. Guests must navigate two separate lines: one to reserve a race time and a second for the final check-in, safety video, and helmet fitting. This protracted process can be a significant source of frustration.
Track Overcrowding: A key safety concern is the number of karts permitted on the track simultaneously. With 12 or more racers, the course becomes crowded, which increases the frequency and severity of collisions. The physical impact from a crash is substantial. Reducing the number of racers per heat to a more manageable number, such as eight, would likely improve both safety and the overall quality of the race.
Conclusion Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is a modern entertainment complex comparable to venues like Main Event or HeyDay, but it distinguishes itself with its superior karting experience. The facility is not as flawed as many negative reviews might suggest. However, prospective visitors should proceed with an awareness of the premium prices, the potential for long wait times, and the safety considerations regarding track capacity. For those prepared for these caveats, Andretti's offers a fun and memorable outing centered on a premier racing attraction. Gets a 4 as i saw many families having a...
