When we entered we were greeted by a nice young lady. She asked for our tickets immediately. We then told her that this was our first time here. She kindly explained that we could eat before our movie and to order at the bar or order in the theater. We go to the bar and was greeted. We asked where the menu was because we'd not been here before. We had to download to phone...ok honestly he didn't seem to want to be there. He wasn't very attentive. Asked for mustard and thousands island feeding on the side for the burger. Went ahead and tipped $3 just because. Then noticed the gratuity added to the check already. Good grief but ok. The same guy brings out drinks to the table then quickly takes off. There was no time to ask for a straw. We got up and retrieved our own Straws. While waiting on our food, I'm watching the girl at the front desk eat her food. Plate and food are in pain site of everyone. Then someone brought our food. Again the same thing. Left the food and took off. It was not even busy yet. Wouldn't you know it, there was no mustard on the side as requested. Nor was there any ketchup in the bottle at the table. Had to go back and ask for ketchup and mustard. He said to get the ketchup bottle from the tray near the bar. Guess what. That was empty as well. Then we were handed to go packets of mustard and ketchup. (Sigh) Our loaded fries were sub par. Was disappointed with the small portion for $10.59. We've had better burgers at Sonic Drive In. My Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was so dry. Even the chicken tasted like they were under a warmer ALL day. Presentation was nice but damn. The food was not good. we make our way to the restrooms. Have to say the layout is not great. The wait staff didn't have their own corridor. They were in the regular foot traffic of movie goers, food customers and bathroom goers. Very hectic. Now it's starting to get busy. Restroom stalls are small for a place this size. Now we are seated in the theater. We are greeted by a nice young man. He acknowledged us and said I'll be right with you. Well... 10 minutes later, we decided to just push the call button. We get another nice guy. Didn't catch his name but was wearing a bandana. We told him this was our first time here. This guy was so helpful. Kudos to this guy! Great service from him! Ordered popcorn, chocolate cake and a beer. Well... as Meatloaf would say, two out of three ain't bad. No popcorn. We wrote it down on the paper saying we have not seen our popcorn yet. We're well into the movie at this point. Finally get our popcorn but it's coated in butter. Sorry, we like our popcorn plain. Guess we just assumed we would have had to ask for butter. My bad. Wrote on a new paper asking for popcorn but without butter. A lady employees walked by and grabbed the paper. She came back with it confused so we told her that we needed popcorn workout butter and handed her the the buttered batch to take back with her. She said that she couldn't take it back. We said why not, we don't want it, especially with how cramped it is at our table to have a full bag of popcorn sitting in our way of the screen. She ended up taking it and replaced it with what we ordered. Final thoughts... we spent just over $100 at this place and just was not worth it. We're always looking for nice fun things to do and to send out of towners off to do. Not this place. I thought it would be nicer especially being on the nicer side of town. The seats were very comfy but just too small. We are average sized people. I can't imagine large folks being comfortable. There seems to be too much table right over your legs when you recline givin a claustrophobic feeling. The beer was excellent! Movie screen and sound were fine. Nothing to write home about. We will not be coming back. We'll most likely have a really nice dinner for 70 bucks then spend 30 at another theater with a larger screen.

I met a group of friends at Flix Brewhouse to eat first, then go see a movie. I had the five meat pizza and a 20oz Luna Rosa brew than was made on site. The pizza was good, but a little small for the price. Most of my friends were a little underwhelmed by the quality of the American comfort food fare, versus the price. So look, my take on this is, if you're just looking for a meal you probably shouldn't go to Flix to eat and go home. The food and price makes a lot more sense as something to enjoy during a movie. The beer I had was excellent. And I had a couple of friends who got theme cocktails and enjoyed those. For example, for Black Widow they have a cocktail called The Romanov. That's fun. While I wouldn't eat here and go home, it might be fun to go to the bar without a movie. But Flix is a theater first and here's where they shine. The sound and screen quality in this theater was excellent. And I'm very picky about that, so take that for what it's worth. The seats are plush, with some automated foot rests. They also have moving trays for food and drinks. The service in the theater was top notch. Our main server was amazing. The rest of the team worked together wonderfully. I ordered the three chocolate chip cookies and some milk. Those were some of the best cookies I've ever had anywhere. We were told they cooked them on the spot, and they definitely tasted like that. So my thought is, if you want to eat here, go to the theater and get the service during the movie. That's where they really shine and what makes this place special.

Essay Review: Flix Brewhouse

Flix Brewhouse is a unique and innovative cinema experience that seamlessly combines craft beer, gourmet food, and blockbuster entertainment under one roof. Located in several cities across the United States, it provides a refreshing alternative to traditional movie theaters by offering a more immersive and enjoyable experience for moviegoers. This review explores the various aspects that make Flix Brewhouse a standout venue for both casual movie lovers and craft beer enthusiasts.

The Ambience and Setting

Flix Brewhouse distinguishes itself with its carefully designed atmosphere. The theater’s interior strikes a perfect balance between the casual, comfortable ambiance of a restaurant and the immersive environment of a movie theater. Spacious, reclining seats ensure that patrons enjoy their movie experience in maximum comfort. The layout is designed so that each guest has a clear view of the screen, and the seats are equipped with convenient tables for food and drink service. The decor is modern yet cozy, with an inviting vibe that makes it a perfect setting for a night out with friends, family, or even a date.

Food and Drink Offerings

The heart of Flix Brewhouse lies in its exceptional food and drink menu, which sets it apart from typical movie theaters. The in-house brewery serves up an impressive variety of craft beers, brewed on-site, allowing patrons to enjoy unique, locally-crafted options while watching the latest films. Beer enthusiasts can sample a rotating selection of seasonal brews, as well as perennial favorites. The brewery’s commitment to quality is evident, with each beer being brewed to a high standard and pairing beautifully with the diverse food options available.

Speaking of food, Flix Brewhouse offers a gourmet menu that exceeds expectations for a movie theater. While you can still find traditional snacks like popcorn, the offerings here extend to burgers, pizza, flatbreads, and even healthier options like salads and wraps. The menu reflects a dedication to providing quality, flavorful meals that can be enjoyed without interrupting the movie experience. The convenience of being able to order food and drink from the comfort of your seat, without missing a moment of the film, further enhances the overall experience.

Service Quality

One of the standout features of Flix Brewhouse is the exceptional level of customer service. From the moment you walk in, the staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The servers are quick to greet guests and take orders, making sure that everything is delivered in a timely manner. The ease with which you can place an order through the theater’s system—whether it be for drinks, snacks, or full meals—demonstrates a level of thoughtfulness and innovation. Additionally, the staff ensures that patrons are comfortable throughout their movie, checking in periodically to refill drinks or deliver food.

The Movie Experience

At its core, Flix Brewhouse is still a movie theater, and its focus on film-viewing is top-notch. The theaters feature state-of-the-art sound and projection equipment, ensuring that movies are experienced in the highest possible quality. Whether it’s the latest blockbuster or a smaller independent film, the cinematic experience is always crisp and immersive. The theater’s commitment to showing a range of films—from mainstream hits to more niche offerings—gives moviegoers a diverse selection to choose from.

The concept of watching a movie while enjoying food and drink elevates the standard moviegoing experience. The convenience of being able to sit back, relax, and indulge in high-quality beer and food without ever leaving your seat makes Flix Brewhouse a truly unique offering. The experience is both entertaining and indulgent, giving it broad appeal across different types of moviegoers.

Conclusion

Flix Brewhouse succeeds in providing a one-of-a-kind moviegoing experience that blends comfort, quality, and entertainment. With its on-site brewery, gourmet food and...

This was my first visit to Flix and as a family, we decided to “gift experiences” for Christmas this year.

  1. I purchased my tickets on the website four hours before the showing and did not receive them via email. The tickets were not in my spam folder.

  2. So to be proactive I emailed the tickets department on the website and received a generic response.

  3. Worried that there might be some sort of issue with the tickets, we left over an hour early and arrived more than thirty minutes early to speak with someone in customer service presumably.

  4. A young man on 12/29 around 1:20PM was helping customers purchase tickets via phone and somewhat politely or rather impolitely shewed us away with a hand gesture like we were peasants. He told us to take the ticket question to the bar. He also told us we could use one of the kiosks.

  5. We went to the bar and spoke with Abby who was polite. She assured us that she was aware of the credit card glitch online. I informed her of the seats that I selected online and requested tickets. She said there were no tickets and to just be seated. I asked her if there would be any problem and she said no. She said I could mention her name if anything arose.

  6. After being seated, I was then asked for tickets by the waitstaff at least three times and had to explain the entire situation three independent times. People were starting to stare at us. It was humiliating.

  7. Then to make matters worse, a couple showed up and went to complain that we were sitting in their seats.

  8. Another waitstaff came and told us we would have to move. This was interrupting the process of ordering lunch.

  9. The theater was nice; The food was delightful but the operation is an ABSOLUTE abomination.

I tell this story in great detail so that Flix management can understand that offering 2 complimentary tickets does not excuse ruining a Christmas gift.

I also tell this story so that others might consider this before giving this as a Christmas gift.

I also utilize this opportunity to exploit these details because I went out of my way to make sure I could avoid further issues within your online ticket operation.

I do not blame the employees but when I emailed beforehand, arrived early, and told the story to the initial waitstaff –

DID IT NOT DAWN ON ANYONE TO DOUBLE CHECK SEATING ARRANGEMENTS?

This could not be the first time in history that Flix might have double sold a seat?

And I showed each and every one of them the transaction receipt for the tickets.

Talk about being treated like a smooth...
