While on a road trip with my daughter from Texas to Idaho I had two rear tires on my truck give out (bulge badly) just before Oklahoma City. It was 7 PM on a Saturday night and all major tire shops were closed. Most shops didnāt open until Monday and that left us stranded for a day and a half. I searched online in hopes of finding a shop that may be open and I came Upon Big H tires. Online it said they were open until nine pm and I called and was sent to voicemail directly. I left a voicemail stating my situation and to my surprise within a few minutes I received a text message from someone at the tire shop. They said they were open and could help us. I gave them my tire size and asked if they had something that would work and after about 15 minutes they replied back and said they had four tires. I limped my vehicle to their shop which was about 16 miles away. When I arrived they were waiting for me and immediately got to work. After about an hour and a half I had four replacement tires on my vehicle and my daughter and I were back on the road. This would not have been possible had it not been for the great guys at Big H Tire. Understand this is not a major tire shop but a mom and pop shop that deals with used tires and takes cash only. But these guys are there for you late into the night when no one else is available. They came through when no one else could and truly saved our vacation. If you are in need of tires in a pinch please call and leave a message they will get...
Ā Ā Ā Read more3+ hrs to have new tires mounted on rims when i called they said they could get right to it. ended up breaking all the lugs loose myself, recommended under inflating my rear tires 15lbs under factory spec, had to air them up myself, today i went to put front brakes on my truck, first lug broke before i even applied any flex to my lug wrench, I think they missed one.. but every lug on the wheel broke with out me having to apply flex to my lug wrench, maybe missed the whole whee I think.. The next wheel was the same.. I decide to get my torque wrench out.. Factory Spec : 140 ft/lb torque Big H Tire : ~ 80 ft/lb torque.... less than 60% of factory spec.
The guy put the lugs on used an air impact if I remember correctly. The low torque along with recommending a - 15lb inflation pressure would lead me to believe that they dont have a compressor that drive the impact gun properly and probably not inflate a 2500 truck tires to the proper psi
Called to let them know about the lug nuts.. the owner became irate, screaming foaming at the mouth mad, making threats, then called my number like 5 more times after I hung him up.. blocked his number, texts followed WOULD NEVER RECOMMENDDANGEROUS PLACE TO USE FOR...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a terrible experience with this store. They left my friend stranded on the highway. I purchased a tire for her yesterday and after driving only 15 miles in the tire, the tire I purchased blew out. I called the store, an employee answered, i said i needed my friend rescued. The tire needed to be replaced for free and someone needed to go to her. He said i would be called back after he spoke to a manager. This was 12 hours ago and i still have no call. If she hadnāt found a way to save herself she would have been unsafe on a dirt shoulder in her car all night long. Now my calls are being ignored. I would go in person except that i don't live in Oklahoma. I strongly advise against anyone using a store who would do this to their customers. I don't normally Leave bad reviews but i feel the strong need to protect other people from this happening. There were some good aspects about the actual origional fix. But the blowout experience was so bad it overshadows the...
