My in-laws bought a family plot in Memorial Park, so when my husband passed away in 2007, that is where he was buried. I've regretted that decision ever since. The place looks immaculate and well maintained from the OUTSIDE (street to the entrance always looks perfect) but inside is atrocious. Initially, they did a decent job, but in recent years, every summer it's been the same story...they mow, but fail to weed eat between and around headstones. Every year I have to hand trim my husband's memorial every week to keep it looking decent. This year, I've been ill and missed a few weeks. Now, the grass around his memorial is over TWO FEET HIGH!!!! That's not just his marker, that holds true for virtually all headstones out there! It's shameful and atrocious. When I complained, I was told it had just been raining too much...really, the front of the property that the public sees is immaculate, but the graves are terrible. Did it only rain inside the fenced portion that isn't visible from the street? Didn't think so! And if you can put heavy mowers out there to mow, then you should have easily been able to get a person with a weed eater out to trim. They gouge you left and right on burial prices, markers, etc. then don't have the decency to pay a yard crew to properly maintain things. It's terribly upsetting and horribly DISGUSTING! If a public yard had grass and weeds two feet high all around, the owner would be cited. Memorial Park should be ashamed of itself!! Yes, I've spoken to management and was only given excuses as to why it hasn't been done. I've had them fill out two "maintain request" forms and have yet to get results. Two days now before the anniversary of my husband's death and I can't even decorate his grave because the weeds around it are so terrible. Guess I'll go buy an electric trimmer and do it myself. SHAME ON YOU Memorial Park.

Through the toughest thing we’ve ever experienced, losing a child, Ann and Kim made sure we were taken care of. They genuinely cared about how we felt and what we needed and wanted. They worked through our grief with us. Then to top it off Mike made sure to place her headstone and bench exactly how we wanted it. He cared so much about us and what we wanted. That meant more than he will ever know. Through the hardest thing in our life there was empathy for us. Thank you for everything

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. First we had decided and planned out a burial and graveside service. And then ended yp changing everything and they even came out on their day off so that we could fix it. Which I really did appreciate it. We choose a nice wooden box and when I went to pick it up, they had put it in a really nice white keepsake box with and envelope that is suppose to be opened a year later. Will add pictures later...

The entire staff was, and continues to be, overwhelmingly professional, communicative and caring with exceptional attention to detail at every turn. Emma Stratton has been nothing short of amazing from the very first phone call at 1:00 AM (less than 2 hours after my mother's passing) to the follow up texts and calls weeks after the service. She handled everything, including all of MY last minute add-ons, flake-outs and delays, with grace and efficiency. Emma listens and more importantly, she hears you and it showed in so many ways...patiently and professionally managing the room while my very talkative family kept interrupting her, the lock of hair I asked for, the extra care with my mother's makeup (she even took the initiative and time to paint her nails to match her lipstick, which was such a sweet and genuine show of love and respect). There isn't enough room here for me to express my gratitude. Emma and Nancy feel like family and there's no better compliment than that.

My mother did not want to "pre-plan" which added a lot of stress and extra "work" to pulling everything together. Looking back over that week I have no idea how I pulled it off. And without the guidance and help of Emma and the entire staff at Memorial Park, I just couldn't have. I think what struck me most about my experience is that at no time did I feel like a "customer". From the very start we felt cared for, listened to, respected and valued as a family. Both Emma and Nancy are easy going, personable, warm-hearted people and so comfortable to talk and work with - I trusted them both immediately and never felt hurried, pressured or like we weren't the most important people on the schedule. I do realize this is a business and as a business professional in a service oriented industry, I understand how vital trust and authenticity are in order for things to go smoothly. I couldn't be happier with how beautiful the service was and how well everyone took care...

We received phenomenal service at Memorial Park Funeral Home after the tragic death of our one year old son. Matthew went above and beyond every step of the way. We were so blessed to have his help during the most difficult time of our lives. We are grateful that all of the services were so affordable that we, a family with nothing in savings, didn't have to settle for less than our son deserved because of costs. The memorial service couldn't have been any more perfect. This situation is the worst imaginable, but Memorial Park Funeral Home and Matthew made it as easy as possible to navigate, and we will never forget their professionalism or Matthew's kind and gentle nature. This is the second time our family has used Memorial Park Funeral Home, and it will not be the last. In fact, we will be using Memorial Park Funeral Home's services for as long as we live because they offer more than just funeral, graveside, and cremation services. They offer enlarged photos, keepsake urns, and other personalized memorabilia for our lost loved ones. We plan to get a new enlarged photo each year and some other keepsakes. If you are faced with the death of a loved one, look no further than Memorial Park Funeral Home. I am certain they will exceed your expectations as they did...
