Listen. No one is more mad or regretful than me. Mad that I waited this long to try this (not so little) pieces of heaven and regretful that I have now developed a new addiction.
I like to think of myself as a bit of a cookie connoisseur, aka cookie snob, so I get pretty picky on the types and brands of cookies I allow myself to indulge.
Cut to the Olathe Sip & Shop event tonight and much to my delight is this cute cookie shop tent. I have driven by their brick and mortar at Harold and K7 five times a week since before they opened but have resisted the urge to stop in. I innocently browsed their selection they had today and decided pick a wide selection to test their skillz: chocolate chip, kitchen sink, ooey gooey, and funfetti.
And I’ll be damned if they aren’t all delectably irresistible. One bite of each and I lost all self control. The salty/sweet combo of the kitchen sink makes my soul sing to the gods above. The beautifully done texture and balance of the chocolate chip is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The ooey gooey reminds me of the bars of the same name my grandmother used to make. And the funfetti turned me into a 8 year old at a birthday party, even if it was just for a moment.
Run. Don’t walk. You have to experience this for yourself.
Conure for size reference. They outweigh him...
Read moreIt is truly the best cookie you will ever taste! I have been a regular customer since before her store front was open and having a place to access these cookies at any time is such a treat! The best cookie in my opinion is the snicker doodle, followed by the duke/duchess, and the funfetti! Christina is a wonderful small business owner, and she does a great job of posting updates on her instagram so you know what cookies are in stock, if they sell out for the day, new things to come, etc. If you are looking to impress guests or just treat yourself, you must come here! I brought these cookies to a get together and my friend who “hates sweets” said the funfetti was the best thing she’s...
Read moreI have to go to the gym before this place opens so I don’t leave and “accidentally” stumble into this cookie shop. They are such delicious cookies! Moist, cake like, always fresh and so many different choices. Usually they have about 10 or 12 choices on display. I’ve had the almond wedding cake (a top fave of mine), funfetti , the OG chocolate chunk, brookie, ooey gooey butter, and monster. One cookie is shareable with about four people. Heat it in the microwave for about 15 to 20 seconds and it’s just a little slice of indulgence. We’re so lucky to have such a great cookie shop right here close by. Everyone there is always friendly and welcoming and the cookies are spot on....
