Grover Ice Rink — Local services in Omaha

This is the Best Lighted Ice Rink in the City of Omaha !

I have been a Lighting Designer for the last 36 years and I measured the Lighting Levels of (50) locations on the Ice myself. There is an Average of (87) Foot Candles and that meets the Collegiate Lighting Standards established by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America. The Lighting distribution is also very even over the whole Rink. This really makes a Big Difference when you are in an important Game and is safer Ice...

As a hockey rink, this is my favorite. It is a single, NHL style. The great feature is a viewing balcony with a few tables on the north end. There is another viewing "bar" on the main floor. There is no elevator, however and slightly steep staircase up to the balcony. No real view areas on the other 3 sides. There is a snack bar and convenient restrooms. Parking is limited....

the staff here are super nice and i loved bringing my girl scout troop here to learn how to skate. i wish there was more enforcement of some ground rules though (like now screeching on the ice). the echo made the children screeching very obnoxious on my ears.
