I drove all the way out to 156th and Fort, from 78th and Sorensen parkway because of previous positive experience at Jilian’s produce. Well today, customer service was terrible; none of the four young ladies acknowledged our presence nor asked if we needed any help; while my sister and I were looking around, another customer came up and received a friendly and welcoming greeting? I don’t like to make race an issue, but as a African American woman, it was an insult to be completely ignored and then to observe a Caucasian male made to feel welcomed. I’ve always driven by Jillian’s but have never stopped. I decided to stop last weekend and picked some stuff up. We picked up some cherries which were so sweet and delicious, some super sweet apples, a watermelon, and some dill pickles. I love all the produce there and will be back but….I opened my jar of pickles as soon as I got home and to my surprise my pickles were mushy to the point of I touched it and it fell apart. I was very icked out by this, idk if I got a bad batch but every single pickle was mushy and the price was pretty hefty at $8.50. I probably will not buy any thing other than produce here. Just visited Jillian’s Produce stand under the large white tent on the Southwest corner of 156th and Fort. First time visiting and I was amazed at the enormous selections and quality of the fresh fruits and vegetables along with various jarred items! The staff was very friendly. I only purchased fresh fruits and vegetables. So far, I have tried the large red tomatoes and black diamond watermelon, both were fresh and delicious! I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend...
