đ HIDDEN GEM ALERT: The Commons Coffee Shop at StoneBridge Church (Omaha Campus) đ
I almost don't want to post this because I want to keep it all to myself â but The Commons Coffee Shop is too good not to share. Tucked inside StoneBridge Church, this place is way more than a coffee counter. It's a dream hangout for small groups, moms with little ones, and homeschool families looking for a field trip destination, somewhere peaceful and practical.
â Coffee + Comfort The drinks are solid (classic lattes, seasonal flavors, and even London Fogs), and the breakfast burritos? Legit delicious. They also carry a wide range of snacks â perfect if youâre trying to keep kids from melting down mid-morning. Fresh baked goods include gluten-free and vegan options too â major win. Baristas are the sweetest!
𧞠Kid-Friendly Heaven Two words: THE SILO. Itâs a multi-level indoor play area (yes, indoors!) that keeps kids climbing and sliding while you sit nearby with coffee and conversation with friends. There is ample running space on well-maintained grass. Add in the giant outdoor upper playground with picnic tables, climbing equipment, swings and a wood fence game pit. They even have a fenced toddler zone in front! Youâve got a full morning covered. Oh, and thereâs even a climbing rock out front for the brave ones!
đș So Much Space to Gather Whether youâre doing a Bible study, meeting friends, or just needing a change of scenery with your kiddos â thereâs space for everyone. From big cozy couches and quiet meeting corners to bar seating, outdoor lounge furniture, and sunny cafĂ© tables â youâll find your vibe. Thereâs even a fireplace nook and a âWelcome Homeâ area that can fit 15â20 people for a casual meetup and study groups.
đ» Clean + Convenient Bathrooms are spotless. Likeâactually clean. There's a nursing room for moms, water fountains right by the doors to the play area, and plenty of signage so youâre never lost. Bonus: ample trash cans (homeschool moms, IYKYK).
đ Easy Parking + Perks Huge parking lots on both sides (east and west), and get this â one lot opens up right next to a fenced dog park. So yes, even your fur baby is welcome. Plus, the outdoor patio has cafĂ© tables, umbrellas, grassy hills for rolling, and a fire pit for chilly mornings.
đŻ Final Word Itâs peaceful, purpose-filled, and perfectly equipped for real life. Whether you're planning a group meetup or just want a sanity-saving morning out with the kids, The Commons is a beautiful place to recharge, connect, and...
Read moreFirst time visit. Pros: Specialty seasonal latte was delicious, table was clean, bathrooms are super clean, nicely decorated, kid friendly atmosphere. Cons: I prefer an adult-only clientele, felt like I was in the middle of a daycare, very crowded w/kids running and at times screaming while playing(they have an indoor playing area), toys spread out on floor. Appeared to be moms, daycare owners, homeschoolers. That made things less relaxing for me, and seating very limited. I'd say more ideal for parents needing a break to socialize along with their kids having a safe indoor space to play. If I return, I'll get my...
Read moreThe Commons Coffee Shop has the most peaceful ambiance served with a side of delicious coffee! I love treating myself to taking advantage of the free WiFi and working from their beautiful space every once in awhile when I need a change of scenery and a caffeine pick me up. I wish the Commons Coffee ship was open when I was a stay at home mom several years ago; it would have been the BEST place for morning playdates with their indoor and outdoor play spaces for kids and comfortable seating...
