Goodwill Industries Retail Store — Local services in Oneida

I have shopped in many Goodwill, across many states and, I have to say other than one other store, this has to be the worst. You walk in and it is dark and dirty. The shoes are along the back wall where it is so dark that you are almost leary of being back there alone. The housewares department is pitiful. There is so little to choose from and half of what is there is part of a set or chipped and useless or dirty. I would never buy a small appliance there because I would not trust anything on the shelves. The one time I was in the store, I was back looking through dresses and was given the opportunity to hear exactly what the manager thought of her boss. She was in the backroom and speaking loudly and harshly about a situation that had occurred the evening before and into that day. I have been in retail for over 40 years and if she were my employee she would be let go immediately. I feel badly that this is the store that is representing the Goodwill organization in the Oneida area. I have read other reviews where people say they absolutely love this store and I guess that is the beauty of living in a small town where everyone knows each other. This store is got nothing but rude manger and rude cashier I was in there today and the store manager was standing around talking I went up and as her how much the item was she said o it's a 1.99 everything on that rack is I said ok thank you then we went to the baby clothes said 0/24 months .99 ok I got my son some clothes and a hoodie got to check out my stuff almost 30.00 I just added it u18$ plus taxes so I ask for my receipt they ring my clothes up wrong I said something so the cashier went got store manager that name nan is rude disrespectful I said they ring the two things up that u said was a 1.99 up to 3.99 each I didn't no it was that no there not 1.99 and you ring my baby 2t hoodie up at 3.99 it says .99 cents no that's 0/24 months well 2 t is 24 months and then want to yell at me you need fired and i ask for a full refund so you made me wait there because didnt no how run the register someone needs to do something I will be posting on my Facebook and on all my groups not to donate to this store going raise your voice at me in front of my baby...

I used to thrift with my mom and hadn't been since she passed away. Finally decided to get out and stopped in here excitedly. I was immediately crushed and saddened. When did free donated items become higher than they were new? I bought 4 USED t-shirts and paid 20$ for them. I sawnshirts for 5$ Walmart sells new fornthat. This place isn't for helping the people its about MONEY. I was flabbergasted at their prices. I'll never stop...
