The worst experience I’ve ever had with a repair service. My refrigerator was not functioning properly so I called the Appliance Expert in Orange Beach and the owner (Mike Usher) came out said it needed a new main board. He said it would take 2 to 3 days to come in, 8 days later it finally came in. He came out with another tech and changed the board. 2 hours after they left my refrigerator started acting up again. I called and Mike said he would have to contact the manufacturer to try and find the problem. 2 weeks later I called, since I hadn’t heard back from him. He called back Good Friday morning and said he would be out that afternoon. He never showed up or called, he TOTALLY FLAKED on me. I haven’t heard from him since. I paid $550.00 for a board I didn’t even need. I had to call another repair service to come out and they had my refrigerator fixed in 30 minutes!!!! My experience with Mike at Appliance Expert was wonderful! Not only my current situation with a broken dishwasher, but also a broken refrigerator over a year ago. Mike was very efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and also considerate. I will always call Appliance Expert in the future and would trust them with any appliance in my home. I read a previous review from an upset customer and was sorry to see that. From my experience, Mike deserves nothing but PRAISE!...Maybe there was just a mis-communication of some sort.....this company has done a great job for my home and I will continue to recommend them in the future. I’m glad I got a second opinion after the technician did not fully inspect my broken washing machine. Not glad to fork up $125 for him to simply press a few buttons and make a false assumption about what the issue was. The following day, another company came out and completed an actual thorough examination of the machine’s parts and determined that it was not just the cold water valve, which is what they were going to replace. I would have gone down a long expensive road with these guys when it really just made sense for me to replace...
