One star for the theft.

Check your receipts carefully. This place is stealing from customers by running their cards for more than the amount due.

Food is good. Service is less than stellar. Our server walked around for 10 mins with our card and when we requested it she hadn’t ran it yet. They were not busy. We were a party of three and there were only 3 tables occupied. Our waitress danced around and sang while we waited for our card.

Then charges us $3 dollars more than we’re supposed to be and argued with us about it.

THEN tried printing a new ticket to match the discrepancy. Fortunately, my husband retained his original because without that they were going to blow us off. Until he produced his original copy.

They acknowledge the total we were charged was wrong as my husband calculated it right in front of her and showed her. This included the $2.79 CC fee, so the “mystery charge” is something else. She had no explanation at all.

She said “that’s just how our computer calculates it”. This prompted me to ask how many other people this happens to? She had no answer to that. And just stared at us like a deer in headlights. Like someone who’d being caught doing something wrong, like stealing.

I thinks it’s safe to assume anyone who is paying by card is getting charged a “mysterious extra” charge.

This was, until tonight, one of our favorite spots. As locals were often asked for recommendations and due to the nature of our occupations, we answer this question multiple times a day.

We’ve always recommended Mile Marker 158 and did so just earlier in the day. Never again. In fact we will very vociferously encourage all we know and meet in the future to avoid this place like the plague. How unfortunate.

Y’all are stealing from customers and you know you’re doing it. This is so disappointing. How much have yall collected from unknowing customers?

So is this just a scheme y'all use during concerts and big events (hoping no one will notice) or do y’all just do this all the time and we’ve just not noticed before tonight?

VERY SHADY....

We would love to give everything at Mile Marker 158 a perfect score, but there is one thing that brings everything down. Our last visit this week (April 9) was a perfect example. My husband and I arrived early and decided to sit at the bar until our friends arrived. The bartender finally came over and asked my husband what he would like. My husband ordered a beer and the bar tender walked away without asking me if I wanted anything. He came back 5 minutes later with the beer and I had to stop him as he walked away asking if I could also order something. I ordered a tequila on the rocks with lemon with water in the side. He brought the drink mixed with water. Our friends joined us in a booth and we had the best server ever. But, again drink orders took 15 minutes. Our server kept apologizing and was clearly frustrated with the bar service. My friend order a second gin and tonic and it finally came during dinner when we were having wine. 25 minutes later! Your bar is totally out of control. Since this is where your profits sit, I would recommend that you either train or hire a proper and efficient bartender. We have experienced this many...

Not being from the area, we had to rely on Google reviews for a nice dinner. We parked at the Wharf and passed several other enticing restaurants on our way over to MM158. At one point we almost turned around and headed back to the main area but so glad we pressed forward.

I ordered an espresso martini to start the dinner off and it was fabulous. We ordered 3 entrees as we couldn’t narrow it down to just two. While we waited, they brought out some great bread with strawberry butter (super yummy).

Dinner: (1) Filet Mignon with smashed potatoes and green beans (2) Teriyaki glazed Salmon with mushroom risotto and brocollini (3) Beef Tips Truffle Sacchetti. All three were delicious and the meats were all cooked perfectly. The third entree was by far the best thing I’ve ordered in a while — the flavors were to die for and the pasta was amazing! I could’ve gladly eaten another portion of it and been satisfied.

Bartender/server was very nice and vibe was great! Looks like they had outdoor seating for better weather or a...

The food was delicious!! We loved being able to sit outside and watch the boats. The service was severely lacking!! The hostess was so sweet! There was a table of 4 that sat after us (we were a table of 2- went out with hubby for my birthday) the server came up to us and told us we weren’t sitting in anyone’s section and it wasn’t her section and then proceeded to take care of the table of 4 that came after us. Then, another lady came and took our order but that was it. There was a nice gentleman that took care of us here and there when he could so we gave him a good tip in cash because he didn’t have to take care of us but chose to. I feel like the server felt she would get a better tip with the table of 4 but what she didn’t know is we were looking for one individual last night to bless. We gave it to another server at a restaurant we went to after where we actually had a server and we’re taken care of. But, the food was amazing! Best calamari I’ve ever had!
