Amazing place, just 30-45 MIN from the greater Columbus area(s) best lake in this region(of the state of Ohio), so if you have the time just come do the stairs which is a good workout and grab a bite to eat in the Polaris area. Alum Creek has so much to offer in the Columbus Area(s). You might see drones or RC aircraft here Because there is an Air strip Made just for RC-Aircraft/drones etc... BE AWARE OF THE WIND IT IS SOMETIMES OR OFTEN HAS STRONG GUSTY WINDS AT THE TOP OF THE DAM SO BING A LIGHT JACKET OR A HEVIER JACKET DEPENDENT ON TIME OF DAY-YEAR. If you have an rv you are not permitted to park here at all for any amount of time. We were approached by two wildlife officers stating we can not visit the park because we are in a recreation vehicle. Did not even have a chance to see the scenery or use the rest room. What we did see was garbage and debri scattered throughout the entire grounds. Fishing line and hooks to get tangled in walking and hooks that will stab you. Great park, great place to take family and friends. They have a lot of seating/picnic areas at the lower level of the dam. There is a nice playground for the smaller kids. Plenty of parking, it can be a bit tricky to get in and out of depending on the traffic levels and what time of day you visit. I went for fishing, didn't catch any fish but did get a crawdad. There are restrooms that are decent, plenty of trash cans, shade. Very good walking trail on the top of the dam. I would recommend...
