Been shopping here for years. Overall, staff friendly and store is clean. However, this will no longer be my primary grocery store due to the remodel. Main complaint is that ALL half and half is located on shelves barely within reach of shorter individuals. Additionally, shelves are not tilted for stock to slide down to front thus totally out of reach if one container is missing. Manager said he can’t move the product to a lower shelf (corporate decision) and I should ask associate for help. Really? I will need to request assistance every time I shop there?! Or bring a portable step stool?! Nope...in the future, I will only pick up absolutely needed supplies when I happen to be in town. I am willing to pay more at Yoders and stock up on groceries during trips to larger towns like Culpeper, Ruckersville, etc. (Perhaps too many poor corporate decisions like this led to the closing of Food Lion stores in Front Royal...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised with this Food Lion! I think I had an idea in my head based upon my experiences with other Food Lions and found myself here at 9pm on a Friday in search of an emergency item. It was super clean, they had a little bit of everything including organic produce and specialty items, and I really like the store set up and the effort they are clearly making to raise the bar on awareness of health and wellness with signage and product placement. I am new to town and have been going to Culpeper for groceries every week. I think I will be able to find a lot of my basics right here AND at better prices too! Food Lion should be proud to have this store represent their name. I am VERY particular where I shop for food and I am so glad I stopped in and saw...
Read moreThis is the most o er priced Grocery store I've ever set foot into in my life. Gold Peak Tea $5.00 for a 59oz bottle, you can get the exact same sized bottle at Wal Mart for $2.00 everyday price, at Food lion it's $4.00 when it's on sale. This is just one example, I could go on for hours with 100's of items. I spent $59.00 to get the stuff to make Taco salad. I could've got this same stuff for $20.00 - $25.00 max at any other store including Kroger who is historically not a cheap Grocery Store. At these prices I could eat out, and have Filet Mignon, and...
