Fruit Basket Orchards — Local services in Orchard Mesa

If I could give zero stars I would. Imagine having a 6 year old and a 3 year old who are just so excited to go apple picking for the first time and we drove 5 hours to get there. Now place them in a tiny orchard where they charge an entrance fee, which is really a fee to line their pockets to pay for their own insurance, and then send you and your family out to pick apples off of the handful of trees they have marked that you’re allowed to pick from. When I say there wasn’t a good apple on any of those trees I’m not kidding, not one. EVERY SINGLE APPLE WAS ROTTED AND HAD HOLES FROM BIRDS. And you actually expect people to want to pick these and take them home and pay more money for them??? We left with two very disappointed kids and less the “entrance fee” that they refused to refund. Maybe walk your own orchard-trust me it won’t take that long, before you send people out to pick fruit that you wouldn’t eat yourself. Maybe then you won’t be so surprised people want to...

PENNY PINCHING RIP OFF!! They charged an "insurance fee" for u-pick knowing they didnt have any good apples left to pick! They made us read a "rules sheet" like we were in kindergarten. Very nice collection fruits and veggies such as peaches, apricots, tomatoes, jam, jelly, salsa etc and other handcrafts Very courteous people, Nominal rates compared to other shops around.
