The festival itself is not too bad. Lots of vendors and a fun atmosphere with a few shows to see if your interested. The main issue with taco fest is the tacos from some specific vendors and why they are even allowed to vendor food. The food trucks I will call out specifically is "Miguel's famous tacos" and "CR's tacos and more". Please save your hard earned money and do not bother with these food trucks. Miguel's famous can really only be referring to being famous for the worst tacos. At $4 per taco what you get is a semi stale hard shell taco with ground beef that literally contains no seasoning whatsoever and your choice of some toppings in which the lettuce packs more flavor than the meat. It seems like it is either a really bad joke, or a scam in which they prey upon people that don't know what they are getting themselves into. There went $16 for first experience because I ordered 2 for me and 2 for my son. We both took 2 bites of the first taco and then the garbage can had the rest, and I do not like wasting food. It was that bad. Next up is the CR's taco truck. The tacos from this truck at least had a but of seasoning, but were still not good, the nachos reminded me of something you would get from a movie theater, and the quesidilla was by far the worst of the bunch because it seemed like canned chicken and highly processed cheddar cheese on a very lightly grilled wrap which ended up with Miguel's tacos in the trash. There went another $32 for 2 tacos, a Nacho supreme, and the quesidilla. So total spent now after entrance fee for me, my wife and son with parking is at $83. Please be aware that there were other food truck vendors there that are serving up authentic street tacos that are delicious, but my main gripe is getting snagged by these garbage vendors for the bulk of my food budget, and to me is worth a to warning others so that you can have a better food...
Read moreHere now. Advertised as Family event. Well for starters $10 pp to get in the door. $5 to park. That’s just to have the privilege of parking in a field. Then you come in and you so much as breathe and you’re spending money. What a joke. At least the taco wagon we ate at was good but I can eat at lots of restaurants that I don’t have to pay to be in their waiting area. Kids to jump money…bottle of water..$3 almost what Woodstock 99 was. Wanna listen to the band? $15. Oh I’m sorry you can listen to the streamed music that breaks up every two seconds. Talk about a rip off. Never again. Promoters need to learn how to have some free fun which encourages people to stay, then drink then eat. Been here an hour and don’t want anymore carney junk and had my taco and there’s literally nothing to do. Going to the free park where at least I’m not getting a contact buzz from weed one...
Read moreOVERPRICED!! $10 PER person plus $5 parking. What does all of that get you? Basically just entry into Canterbury. After that you are left to use what is left of your money on the food trucks/vendors. Most of the vendors are selling the same thing and out of the 20 plus food trucks that are there, you are probably going to order from only one truck. Entertainment is very limited. You are basically getting absolutely NOTHING for your $ except for a chance to find lunch/dinner. Mind you are not the only one getting charged, so are the Vendors and...
