It’s been 6 months since our new carpet was installed and we are very pleased we chose to work with the team at Strictly Carpet. They were extremely helpful and patient with us over the course of several weeks with multiple visits, calls, questions and the checking out of many carpet samples as we went thru the decision process.
I really learned a lot about carpets and the various manufacturers and decided to go with a company called Southwind and their Light Show product. They have a ‘PET’ product which refers to the carpet fibers made from recycled water bottles. This type of carpet wears extremely well and doesn’t easily stain as it repels almost everything. Plus, Southwind provides a Lifetime / 25-year warranty on the product line which is tops in the industry.
The process to measure our house for how much carpet we needed was an amazing process, all done digitally utilizing GPS to render a dimensional floorplan of our house. The way they handle padding is brilliant as they only have a higher end padding that they use. Although they can get you any padding you want, by only carrying one type of padding they are buying it in bulk and pass the savings along to the customer. Like Henry Ford only selling the Model T in the color black. So, one less decision to make, and you get a better padding for a fair price.
On the day of the installation, a crew of 4 individuals arrived at the house. It is important that you read the Guide they provided as to how to prepare your house for installation as each carpeted room will need to be emptied before they start to install the carpet. It does make for a long day and you should expect that it will be a major interruption of your day. The installation went very well and the carpet looks fantastic.
I’m extremely satisfied with all the decisions that we have made, from the Carpet Manufacturer, the actual Carpet we selected and most importantly, the choice of Strictly Carpet to handle the overall process of ordering and installing the carpet. The carpet is absolutely amazing. Any spills that we have had cleaned right up. We have moved a few pieces of light furniture around and after vacuuming, the fibers are no longer compressed and bounced right back. Based on everything I would do it all again and highly recommend that if you are looking for carpet, give the folks at Strictly...
Read moreWe were looking to install all new LVP in our first level, and got a few quotes. Xavier came out for the estimate and answered all of my questions, brought a good amount of samples with him, and explained the process well. We worked with Jordan in sales, and she was incredibly helpful in answering my questions, and tailoring the work needed and estimate towards our budget. We placed the order and we got a call about a week later to schedule the delivery and install for the following week. So, very quick turnaround on getting the material and getting the project scheduled up that matched, if not exceeded, what Xavier had told me when he first came out. The employee who had delivered our materials came during the scheduled window, and was very flexible in finding space as were in the middle of others projects. Fast forward to the install, Christian came out with the crew, and the first day they took care of the removal and lots of underlayment given the different flooring we across the first level, that was all done on day 1, as Xavier had mentioned. Day 2- they got all the flooring installed across about 900 sq ft in one day! That was impressive. Christian would confirm a few quick questions for me, and his crew was moving fast and the work turned out great!! 2 day removal and install, quality work, and exceptional pricing process… I would easily recommend Strictly...
Read moreWe just had carpet replaced in our house by Strictly Carpet (about 2300 sq ft of carpet) and very disappointed in the service. When replacing carpet it is expected that the baseboards will need some paint touch ups- and there was quite a bit a damage to ours. However, there should not be damage to the door frames and doors- especially the top of the frame where no carpet or tools are anywhere near! We had a ton of gauges and scratches that needed repair (the actual wood, not just paint), and the doors were put back on wrong so that they were crooked and would not close. When pointed out to Joe, he said that was carelessness on his guys' part and would give us $500 off the bill for the damage. A week later we get a call from him asking for the $500 back. What poor business practices. Additionally, we just moved in and the house is practically empty but were charged $270 to move and reset furniture. That's fine, but even our furniture was damaged when they moved it- our $1800 sideboard cabinet was scratched. I'm so unimpressed by the customer service that I would never use them again. Asking for the credit back really puts a bad taste in your mouth- I would have been impressed by the attempt to make things right but instead would not recommend them now. Obviously that $500 means more to them than customer satisfaction so it’s on the way back. A couple photo...
