Precision Electric LLC — Local services in Ottertail

Contracted with Precision to do the electrical work on a new mound septic system at our seasonal lake cabin. Impressed with the promptness of the service, as they were able to complete the work the week after Memorial Day. However, the crew that did the electrical work plugged the pump system in incorrectly, which caused the pump to run continuously, which damaged the pump. When I contacted Mike, and explained what the pump installer told us about the probable damage to the pump, he agreed to have the pump replaced at his cost, which I was also pleased with. The pump installer did mention that the pipe to the pump had been cracked by the electrical installation as well, and that there was significant oil on the water in the tank, indicating that the pump had overheated. As I said, I was pleased that Mike stood behind their work and had the pump replaced.

However, I cannot express the same satisfaction with the installation work itself. The crew did not pack the trench made to connect power from the cabin to the pump, which resulted in severe erosion around the tank heads. (See attached pictures. The first shows the area completed by the pump installer, the others show the erosion that resulted from the improperly packed trench,) When I contacted Precision, they reluctantly sent a crew to remedy the situation, but did not have enough material to complete the job, and the erosion continued. I contacted Mike again, and he said he would send a crew to complete the job the following Monday, but they weren't able to because of issues at another job, which is understandable. Mike showed up the next morning after I phoned him, and moved a bit of soil around, but I ended up have to move more of the washed out soil around the tank head. It seemed to me that a company that offered me their landscaping services when I paid for the electrical work would have been more willing to fix the erosion...

The two guys that were sent to a building we are tearing down in Minneapolis did an EXCELLENT job. They were professional, responsive, and fast. They did such a good job that we did not even notice them working while we worked on tearing other building components down. The guys were early to the site, and got it all done right on time. Working in tearing down the electrical components after they finished gave us peace of mind as they did a stellar job at marking everything. 10/10 company. Do business...

We did a Foltz building with living quarters inside. Mike and his crew proved to be Johnny on the spot working around all of our other trades. The workmanship, communication, budgeting, scheduling was a 10 out of 10. Mike looked out for us knowing we were a couple homeowners general contracting our own job. They worked around a couple product defective issues that were a manufacture glitch. Thank you...
