HORRIBLE CRAFTSMANSHIP!!! I WOULD NOT FOSTER & LEE ANYONE We live out of state and my fiance had F&L build an engagement ring based on a friend's recommendation. The ring needed to be rebuilt 5 times due to their errors! 1) Band was lumpy from messy sautering of metal. 2) I brought the ring to a local jeweler when the diamonds looked cloudy and he said they needed to be removed and polished thoroughly due to another sautering error. This same jeweler also told me to take the ring off immediately because A PRONG WAS MISSING and it was a miracle I hadn't lost a diamond. 3) F&L built a new ring that was a totally different appearance than the original and was now very heavy with and too metallic looking. 4) After MONTHS I received another rebuild which was not perfect, but acceptable. I brought this to a local jeweler to check the integrity as I clearly couldn't trust F&L and he said that 1 of the 6 prongs on the center stone wasn't even touching the diamond. He also said that the side stones were not centered properly on the band and it would only be a matter of time before the band cracked. This was such a terrible experience! I was gifted a ruby, diamond, and white gold ring. This was a custom gift. The ruby was very pink and murky which the gifter admitted they were trying to cut down on cost so they chose a stone with poor clarity. The band however was crooked upon receipt. I asked if the shop would buy it back and they offered a trade. I chose small pearl earrings with 14k gold backings. The very second day of wearing the earrings, the backings broke. I bought some cheap backings on Amazon to try and sit the pearls in myself. The pearls are 2 different sizes/ one cut smaller than the other.

The customer service wasn’t an issue. I’m super thankful they accepted a trade and tried to work with me. The craftsmanship however is questionable. A custom ring that had a crooked band, and earrings that broke after a day. The other reviews on here speak very highly of the quality, I think I just never got a good chance...

Had my ring engraved for the first time there in July. It came out great. I had to get it reengraved after sizing and the result was not at all like the original engraving (which was still clearly visible next to the new engraving)...they were very courteous and promised to buff it out and reengrave so that it matched the original engraving. Just got it back today and the font is different and at least 3-4x larger...like huge. Was told the engraver thought that because it was a wide band it should have large text and took it upon themselves to do it that way instead of matching it up with the original, small engraving that I loved so much. It had also been wallowed out to the point that it is significantly lighter in weight, it seems like a really sloppy roundabout job and I’m sure they kept the gold shavings that came out of it.
