ANTS all over the main ordering station and display cases. Extremely slow service. My dozen donut order took 30min. I had expected to walk in place my order and walk out quickly just as in any other donut shop whether it be a mom and Pop, which we have many of in the area or a corporate shop. After I said something, they apparently make their donuts to order. This would have been nice to know before placing my order. I also had a very simple bagel order. I explained that I was hosting a few people, and I didn’t know what everyone would want to eat so I asked for a variety of bagels so that I could have them prepped at home by any guests. I ordered a variety of spreads as well. When I got to my car, I realized I didn’t have enough Spreads so I went back inside and they graciously gave me some more. When I got everything out to set up at my house which I was late to because it took so long for the donuts. I realized they had put numerous cream cheese flavors on each bagel so they were unusable. This was not what I had ordered. I looked for a way to email the company and the email that they have in their shop Was taken down by the owner. I tried to direct message them via Instagram and Facebook, but they don’t have those options so I left a comment on a previous Facebook post just to let them know. I truly didn’t want to give a low rating because we own a small business and I know how that goes.I received two very negative comments and this left a terrible taste in my mouth. What happened to the customer is always right and keep the customer happy. Instead, I was told, “yeah we’re not losing sleep over losing you as a customer.” What could’ve been so easy for them a simple I am so sorry you had that experience led to me now leaving a review everywhere I can find and telling everyone that I know....

Today started like any other Thursday. I woke-up and drove to the gym to train a client (I’m a personal trainer). My client recommended that I check-out a place called Oviedo City Cafe on the way home. He said they were his new favorite breakfast spot and that they had fresh made donuts, great breakfast sandwiches, and good coffee. I thought he may be over hyping it, but decided to give a try.
I have never been more wrong in my life.
I ordered a churro donut (at one of the owner’s suggestion), a turkey and smoked Gouda breakfast sandwich with jalapeno pepper jelly on an Asiago bagel, and a regular coffee.
My day, maybe even my whole life, changed in that moment.
The Churro donut came out with my coffee. I took one bite and knew that I had stumbled upon the holy grail of donut shops. A tsunami of warm sugary goodness washed over my mouth…maybe even my soul. I took a sip of coffee, and for a moment I reached clairvoyance. Before I knew what was happening, the donut was gone. My coffee half finished. I looked at my plate and didn’t know if I should cry because it was gone or smile because I had the honor of eating it.
When I thought things couldn’t get any better, my sandwich arrived.
A flakey, perfectly toasted golden brown Asiago bagel with cheese gently melting down the side arrived at my table. An egg cooked perfectly, with gooey Gouda cheese, and turkey so fresh I still heard it squawking. It looked so beautiful I had to hold back a tear. If the donut was a tsunami then the sandwich was a hurricane of flavor. And like a hurricane it blew me away…its deliciousness nearly killed me.
One day, I hope you too are lucky enough to eat at the...
Read moreI was super excited to see a new local donut shop so close to our neighborhood. I wish I could love it, but it fell short
Walked in and was not greeted by the employee, who seemed annoyed to have to go back to the cash register from the table she was sitting at. We just started looking at the rather overwhelming donut options and hear "What can I get going for you?" in a tone that meant we we're obviously inconveniencing her by taking too long. Maybe offering some recommendations would have been a better way to approach us.
The donuts were good, but not anything outstanding, hence the 3 stars.
We also ordered bagels, which were obviously previously frozen and cold. They charge extra for flavored cream cheese, which made me think the flavors were made in house, but was disappointed to see them put the thinnest layer of Philadelphia cream cheese on it from a normal tub. I won't rate them on their bagels.... That was a dumb error on my part to think a donut place would make their own bagels and spread
If the review was based on customer service alone, I would give it zero stars, which is why we will probably never return. Donut King is 5 minutes further away and does an equally decent, if not better, donut for 1/3 of the price, and has...
