Holy cow, what an awful experience. We stopped on our way out of town and placed an order using the red button. 25 minutes later we hadn’t received the food and I called back to check on it. Immediately they said it would come right out, and it did, which tells me it was sitting around. Sure enough the food was cold and the milkshake was straight liquid. My daughter‘s kids meal was also nowhere to be found. I called back to ask about the kids meal which they said they forgot on the counter and would bring right out. When it came out we sent the milkshake back and asked them to remake It Since it was completely melted due to sitting around for over 20 minutes. I also asked if they would send the manager out with it. About five minutes later the manager came out holding the milkshake. I explained to her all the things that happened. She didn’t seem phased by any of it, and she wasn’t apologetic. She only thanked me for letting her know. Then she handed me the milkshake and walked off. It was the same milkshake we sent back, more melted than before! We threw it and most of the food out.
To add insult to injury, I contacted corporate, which is undoubtedly what they will tell me to do in their response to this review. They said they would escalate it to the store and I would be contacted about a refund. That has happened three times now and I’ve yet to be contacted a single time. So not only will they not make a problem right, they won’t even respond after the fact! After the third complaint and request to escalate they did offer to send me a five dollar gift card, as if I would ever go back!
One other thing worth mentioning was that the attitude of both the food runners and manager with some of the worst I’ve seen at any place ever. They all seemed like they had much better places to be and, if I’m being totally honest, look at them acted like they were high. And given the experience, that would not surprise me! Read moreI was in the drive thru around 2:40 today, so not a busy time. First of all, the speaker system was not working for ordering and I had waited about 5 minutes and no one spoke through the intercom. Then, when I get to the window, the young lady informed me that sometimes the system doesn't work with large vehicles. I am driving a Kia Sedona family van. Then she asks for my order and has to go all the way from the window to the register for each item ordered. Mind you the place was empty when I asked for the order at the window. At which time I ask if it would be easier to out my order in at one of the drive in waiting areas. She tells me it's fine she can take my order. I proceed to wait 20 minutes at the window as I watch 6 cars who had then piled up behind me leave with all of their orders. I wait patiently, all the while watching her enter and leave the building to hand people orders and take credit cards without sanitizing once. Finally, we get our order and the bag is not taped shut. Now we are in the middle of Coronavirus and every place I have gone through has cleaning and safety protocols. For example- one person taking orders, another strictly for handing out food, and line cooks. This place is a mess. I will never go back. Eventually, someone notices the car hasn't moved from the window. We get our food, already lukewarm. Finally, we get home and everything needs to be reheated, because the same girl taking credit cards is the same girl who got our food and has touched numerous things. I reheat everything before we can eat at home, to then be upset that the popcorn chicken was off. I have ordered this numerous times in the past and know that the chicken I got was turning due to being old. I had to toss it out. I am a very unhappy customer and this place should not be open, due to the unsanitary conditions. One positive thing was that all employees were wearing their masks. I asked if it was the blueberry sweet top he then said we don't have blueberry anything. I tried to explain but its on your menu board and website. So I said ok ill take a sweet topped strawberry lemonade. We'll I only got a strawberry lemonade. I also ordered food. Pickle fries were super greasy and old oil taste and the breading was falling off. No sauce provided for the pickle fries or the cheddar poppers which is ridiculous. Got a 3 piece tender and 1 of then was ripped in half. I loved sonic i thought their product and prices were decent but today I was proven wrong.
