I'm only giving this a 4 because as a cyclist, it was kind of a pain to have to slow and/or stop at least every quarter mile to pass a road. I was glad I had a partner with me to cross 66, that's for sure! HOWEVER, this trail is a beautiful mix of forest and farmland, very well maintained, and entirely paved. There are a wide variety of places to stop, including a brewery, and DB's BBQ is nearby. Definitely check it out!

This trail is very well maintained. We rode 10 miles up from the Rt 322 trailhead and turned back. On a gorgeous Saturday the trail was not overly busy. I can’t say that I love the Rt 66 crossings as there could be better signage on the road about cyclists crossing.

Loved the Rail 66 bike trail, and I highly recommend it for any biking enthusiast in the area. Excellently maintained and paved all the way through the rural little areas of central PA; just great.

This trail is very well maintained. We rode 10 miles up from the Rt 322 trailhead and turned back. On a gorgeous Saturday the trail was not overly busy. I can’t say that I love the Rt 66 crossings as there could be better signage on the road about cyclists crossing.

Great bike or walking trail. The railroad to trail is paved and well maintained. Beginning out side of Shippenville and extends to Marrianville. Which is around 26 mile. The trail is mostly covered by a canopy of trees with a few open , sunny areas. Restroom facilities are very few so prepare before you arrive at the convenience store/ gas station at the traffic light at rf 66...

One of the top bike paths in the area and we enjoyed the entire trail from Marian to Marienville although we completed it on four different legs. Even saw wild turkeys and deer on one of those 6 - 7 mile one way trips (round trip 12 - 14) all during the warm days of August and September.
