T.J. Maxx — Local services in Paintsville

This chain of department/clearance stores has always been my favorite, to finally have one in my hometown is a blessing and a curse. Will I grow tired of the amazingly designer goods? Will I grow tired of diverse gourmet snacks and cookware? Will I begin to despise the quirky classy interior decor I can’t find anywhere else? More than likely I’ll have to just ask for an increase in my TJ Max card credit limit.

All frivolity aside, this store is a great small foot print location. Great staff, and even at a reduced footprint they have a vast assortment of items to choose from. There are plenty of cashiers and the location is clean and well lit.

I hope that these stores are the beginning of Paintsville returning to the role of a regional shopping...

It was my first visit at this new location. I just wish things had been better organized and more clothing options available for our fast-growing 10 y/o daughter. She is currently wearing a 7 in pants in women sizes. I was happy to see all registers were open, though. As far as recommended ideas: military discount, Loyalty program, better training on tax-exempt purchases, and more floor associates available for various needs such as opinions on if something looks good or bad on you or just general purposes like showing where certain items...

One of my favorite places to shop both locally and abroad. So glad to now have one in my own hometown. Will still go to other locations to see what they have as the store is just that great. Awesome choices and even...
