Everyone at DSP Motorsport expect for Gary are clowns especially Alfredo who sits at the front desk. The way he talks to you is super flawed. He leaves no room for the customer to talk and is very rude and arrogant. He thinks that the customer is dumb and doesn’t know anything about pricing and motorcycles so he attempts to take advantage of the customer. They charge extra $500-700 for delivery and setup because Alfredo claims the “bike are shipped from Japan” even though most of the Hondas are built in Mexico. So I’m not sure whether he’s bad at his job considering that he thinks these bikes are from Japan or he’s using this as a way to cheat a customer out their money. I’m sure it’s a little combination of both. Anyway, why should I have to pay this fee? YOU’RE the dealer. It’s your responsibility to deal with these things. After I bought my bike from there, I asked for a little Honda branded key chain and they said I would have to pay for that. To me, that’s crazy. I bought a bike where I spent close to $5000 and you tell me that I can’t get a keychain for me?!? That’s horrible service if you ask me. What kind of foolery is this??? What a joke! Further, everyone here just seems so unhappy! I’m not sure what it is but it wouldn’t hurt to have a smile on your face in a happy tone when talking to others!
Second, I had a service appointment that I booked over the phone. Once I got there a week later, they said that they didn’t have me in their books! I drove all the way over there just for them to tell me that I wasn’t scheduled even though I talked to the guy on the phone. Thankfully, a nice guy at the dealership (pretty rare to meet a nice person at this dealer) Gary booked me in there. A pretty incompetent service department if u ask me.
Overall, I’ve had a horrible experience from buying and bringing in my bike for service. Be aware and be careful not to get caught their scamming like behaviors. They will try to scam u into paying more...
Read moreI don't write a lot of reviews but my experience with this dealer aggravated me so much I feel compelled to warn others.
I've been shopping for a while for a CRF50 for my 7yo daughter. Most dealers are advertising MSRP at $1799, with dealer fees and tax bringing the total to $2500 regardless of the dealer.
DSP is advertising $1499, so I called them to see what was available. Ricardo answered, and within 10 seconds I was getting an ear full of every sales cliché in the book. All I asked for was an out the door price and I felt like I needed to take a shower from all the slime oozing through the phone.
10 minutes later he calls me back and says the out the door price will be $2900! That's $400 over every other dealer regardless of their $300 lower advertised price. I told him that was insane and in typical salesman fashion he asked what I needed it to be to make a deal. I told him what I'm finding at other dealers and he pushed to get me to agree to a deal if he would be the same.
I told him no way as the whole process with him was slimy and they were obviously shady by advertising such a low price then adding such high dealer fees. All of this for a little dirt bike for my daughter.
I hung up and went to a different dealer 30 minutes away and bought it from them. I told them the story and they laughed that DSP is known for advertising low prices then adding ridiculous dealer fees.
I thought the whole interaction with Ricardo was like a hidden camera or training session on how not to act as a salesman. I'm shocked that dealers still behave this way. Stay away. Given my experience with the other dealer, I can assure you there are...
Read moreThe reviews here made my final decision. They are not wrong! These guys are a first class professional family business.
This started with my first contact on a Sunday morning when their Sales Manager followed up with an inquiry I made on Cycle Trader at 10 p.m. the night before. First thing the next day! Not one other dealership did that.
I thought they were really open and transparent in the sales process. I could be wrong. I don't think so. I looked at a ton of dealerships trying to get the "best" price. At one stage Alfredo told me they'd like my business and will be a great dealer for many things, but they have to make some money on the bike. I may be alone in this category, but I cannot tell you how much I respect that.
When I came in to buy the bike they had it all ready and clean for me and they were ready for me. They didn't try to pull any last minute scams. Everything was as agreed.
They also took me on a "roadmap" walkthrough of the dealership and introduced me to all the departments and people. Surprisingly, everyone seemed genuinely interested and happy to meet me.
Finally, I liked how they went through the bike with me thoroughly. I've had a lot of "well, you're familiar with this thing... Have fun!" walk throughs and this was not that.
I could have shaved a couple bucks off the deal elsewhere (not much). I placed some value on the quality of the dealership figuring I'd own this bike a long time. I'm really glad I did.
[I've been in the motorcycle world 30+ years, own a stable of motorcycles (many purchased new), this is my 3rd Goldwing, and this was the best dealer experience...
