I went to this clinic in 2016 and it was the worst thing that ever happened to my skin. Almost ten years later I still have problems and have had several laser treatments to get rid of the scarring that the enzymes of Melissa's "treatment" caused on my skin. When I first went to the consultation I explained how sensitive my skin is to any kind of exfoliant. I started the very expensive weekly "reiki facials" which was $350+ per session plus all the products made at the office by Melissa. She recommended I get rid of all the products I previously used and only use hers. She said most products in the market are bad. During thee facials Melissa talked about my past childhood traumas which are extensive and told me my skin problems had to do with those and attempted to do some kind of therapy with visualizations about my "child self" which was very confusing and inappropriate considering she does not have any background in psychology or mental health. As the treatment progressed in the nest few months o spend over $3000 dollars. Once she used a microdermabrasion machine with her enzymes and that's what did the most damage. I started to get rashes and Melissa told me this was part of the process of healing the skin. She insisted I continue with the treatment. The rashes got worse and my skin started to look raw and my cheekbones were permanently red and stinging all the time. Eventually I had to stop the treatment with my skin damaged and burning, wish rashes and looking raw on the cheekbones. I thought it would go away with time but it didn't The treatment permanently changed the overall tone of my skin, it became a more orange color and I also has scars, like hyperpigmented streaks along my cheeks as well and hypopigmentation, like tiny white scars all over my cheeks. Months and months passed and this didn't go away. I saw several dermatologists who couldn't figure out what happened and my skin became overall completely sensitive to anything even products i used to use before that had never caused problems. I contacted the clinic to ask for a refund of the over 3000 dollars I paid only for the to ignore me. I contacted the Illinois consumer protection agency and had a mediator contact the clinic which copies of medical records from the dermatologists I saw, confirming the pigmentation and small scars and the clinic ignored. Over the years I have done several rounds of halo/bbl lasers that had helped with the scares and hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation that these enzyme products caused. It has been thousands and thousands of dollars and a lot of time and pain to get my skin somewhat improved. My skin has since become extremely sensitive to the point I have had to have extensive allergy testing to figure out what I can use on it. My skin was NEVER like this before I used Melissa's products (which she makes in office, sometimes comes up with new concoctions on the spot, which have never been tested on anyone). Going through this took years of my life and ruined my relationships and some life plans. Melissa never assumed responsibility for anything nor her husband who is the only other person who works in this company. The mix of pseudo psychology, new age mumbo jumbo, Melissa belief that she has some kind of psychic power and the skin damage and scars made this experience one of the most traumatic of my life. Melissa believes she has psychic powers and can heal old serious childhood trauma through her reiki facials. I was in a very vulnerable place and fell for all this. She confused me and scarred my face and my skin functioning was permanently altered. I still suffer from extreme sensitivities that I never had before this treatment. Most of the scars have gone away with over 4 rounds of very painful and expensive laser treatments. The products that Melissa makes in her office uses strong enzymes to exfoliate and are not tested in clinical setting. I believe she uses clients to experiment. Melissa & Cody come highly recommended by me. When I decided that spending $500 everytime I went to Sephora wasn’t working out for me, I wanted to find someone who had a holistic practice that utilized all natural ingredients. I also knew that without healing the root of the issues that perpetuated my skin problems, improvements would be short lived, so a healing component was important to me. I was to be more impressed when I had my first call with Melissa and our first consultation. Even the consultation was singular - it was very in depth and insightful, and I learned a lot. Immediately I was able to understand what wasn’t working and why, we went through the makeup and skincare products I was using an had an illuminating discussion. I had a powerful first session, I was really blown out of the water beyond my expectations. After my first session I knew this was serious work that was rooted in integrity, which is what I was looking for.

Melissa is a very accomplished individual, and she is qualified to conduct the services that she provides and the produce the products she makes. Melissa makes all of her own products with natural, high quality ingredients. Even her hyaluronic acid is made from plants! She’s extremely kind and caring, and I felt very safe and looked after from the beginning. I knew that I could trust her with guiding me through healing my self and my skin.

I have seen and continue to experience amazing results! Her work is a living example in me that dedicating yourself to heal, and utilizing life-made and life-giving products can transform your skin from the inside out (and outside in, lol). I feel very fortunate that I found someone who’s extremely talented and knowledgeable, and capable of leading me thorugh being an active participant in my healing. I can’t really even remember a time when my skin has looked as clear and is as soft as it is. I’m so happy knowing that because of the high quality of her work that these are results that are here to stay. I’ve learned a lot that will carry me through maintaining healthy skin for the rest of my life. I can guarantee healthy, clear skin for the rest of my life. I know how to heal myself. That’s completely priceless, to me!

I never expected to find the kind of healing that I am enjoying from a chick who offers facials. I originally made the appointment to see Melissa because my sister had breast cancer and I wanted to bless her with a facial that was organic (Melissa is certified and specializes in organic skincare for cancer patients). When Melissa did my intake, it was clear that she was interested in more than just the health of my skin, and it made sense when I thought about it, because people who have had a rough time in life, you can see it on their faces, you know? Well, I’m 53 y.o., and I’ve had a rough time of it. Childhood trauma, emotional overload, & toxic relationships took their toll and left me with autoimmune disorders, and other chronic health issues. Seeing Melissa regularly has cleared my body of negative energy that has been with me my whole life long, sabotaging both my health and my relationships. I am a Christian. In fact, my faith in God has never been stronger—He has healed me using her hands. Before going to see Melissa I had nightmares every night, I ground my teeth, I was an impatient nag of a wife, my body was unable to heal itself, discontent, the list goes on. I am now free. I dream beautiful dreams, my body is healing, my past pain no longer controls me, I’m kind to my precious husband, I no longer grind my teeth, and BEST OF ALL, I BELIEVE GOD. This woman taught me that all the theology in the world is useless unless you BELIEVE God. You can believe IN God, but believing what he says is where true healing and living begin. She has given me more than money can repay. Also, my face looks younger and younger the more my body and spirit heal. I don’t know one single person that can’t benefit from the healing she offers, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to write a review to that effect. What a noble profession she has chosen!!
