My situation was that we had a stainless steel double bowl under-mount sink installed in a granite countertop, and I wanted a single bowl sink. I started on a mission a month ago to change out my sink to the single bowl. I thought this was only a matter of finding another sink to replace my current sink. To my dismay, it turned out to be a major undertaking. There was not a single-bowl sink anywhere that matched the shape of our sink. I had to go with a rectangular sink!!

So much for simple and easy. At this point it became apparent that the only way this could be accomplished was to have the granite cut to fit a rectangular sink. "OK!" I thought. "Let's cut this baby and get my single bowl sink". Ten calls later I began to realize I may not be able to find a granite fabricator who was willing to even consider my project. Most of the companies won't even work with you if you do not need a complete granite install. I was struggling to find someone who would be willing to cut my current granite so I could just accommodate a different sink.

I decided to make a few more calls. When I called FL Custom Kitchen and Bath my problem was solved. Laura, the owner, is an absolute gem!! They don't come any better than her!! I explained the situation, she came to the house to see exactly what would be involved, and we set a date. Laura explained that cutting granite can result in a lot of dust.

My husband and I got a better idea of what to expect dust-wise on the internet. We prepared for it and all went smoothly. The installer, Steven, was amazing. He was meticulous with his layout. He double checked everything before he began to cut. He was very precise in cutting the granite and installing my new single bowl sink. He and his helper were soooo polite! We met with quite a few cabinet/stone companies before we decided to go with FL custom Kitchen and Bath. Renovating a kitchen as large as the one in our home was scary and we wanted to make sure we chose the right person for the job. From the moment we met with Laura when she walked into our home we knew they were the right fit. She was very knowledgeable about what we could do with our space, what would look good and what wouldn’t. Visiting the showroom was a great day too! We sat and looked at all the samples, styles and color choices for cabinets. Then we walked through the stone slab selections until we decided what we thought would be a good choice. She was very patient through the whole process and very thorough when answering all our millions of questions. When it was time for installation the installers were very punctual every morning, super polite and professional and boy do they work fast. All of the other companies we met with gave us an estimated 2-3 weeks for install, FL Kitchen and Bath came in, started the install and were pretty much done by day 4! After researching every place close by I heard from a friend the excellent quality and customer service FL custome kitchen and bath provided. Not only did they surpass my expectations in quality and workmanship but the price was extremely reasonable and competitive. I was greeted by the owner who offered me many choices ( and there are many) and options I never thought of. Laura guided me and offered solutions as I wasn’t 100%sure what I wanted. She weighed in based on my lifestyle and use of the space. Once I decided on the countertop Gabe the installer came and measured for installation.
