Taco Bell — Restaurant in Florida

My wife and I stopped at this Taco bell location on our way back to the beach on 6/3/24. It was the best experience I had in a Taco bell in a very long time, the restaurant was very clean, the staff seemed clean and efficient, I noticed nobody was fooling around, everybody was busy doing something, some of the workers were even cleaning things " surprisingly" I live in the Gainesville area and all the Taco bells here including the one in the town of Alachua have much to be desired. I also want to add that our food was "AMAZING" everything was fresh and tasty and the best part, we didn't get sick afterwards, one last thing to top it off, one of the crew a young lady called Alley came to check on us and asked if we needed anything!!! I decided to go inside to place my order instead of going through the drive through. That was a mistake! I was the only person in the dining room. I think they made all the orders from the drive through before mine. On the upside the food was good.

UPDATE: I stopped here today hoping for better service than I received last time. I went through the drive through. When I got to the window the girl said it was six dollars even. I gave her the money and I asked for my receipt as she handed me my burrito. After I left, I looked at my receipt. Evidently the girl decided I was going to give a “round up donation.” I wasn’t asked if I would like to do that. That is stealing, and I will not patronize this...

I tried Taco Bell tacos from Saint Augustine, late night, for the first time. Never again. $14.99 for a box of ten, half soft, half hard. Meat did not taste like meat, beef, or taco flavoring. It was just a grey-brown mush, slightly (and unpleasantly) sweet. Cheese-like sprinkles were minimal. Lettuce barely there. Soft shell tacos were as bland as bland can get. These could be served up on a hospital tray as their attempt at Mexican and no one would be surprised at the lackluster performance. The hard shell tacos had more flavor, but it all came through as sweetish corn meal from the shell, which also lent some texture. Kudos for being open late night. Service was friendly...
