UPDATE since my last haircut: I've returned again to Sam's hair for my biannual haircut, and once again, I've left my hair in the care of Shinzy, who didn't disappoint me. I showed her a picture of the hairstyle I wanted and she was immediately able to catch onto the details of what I wanted--layers in a light bob cut. Throughout the haircut, the stylist checked in with me and asked for feedback so that she could cater to what I wanted done with my hair and bangs. My haircut was done within an hour and was affordable, especially in comparison to some of the ridiculously high prices of Korean salons in the area. When I met with friends and family in the afternoon, I was given compliments for my new haircut, which solidifies my faith in my stylist's abilities. I can always trust to return to Sam's Hair!

I love getting my haircut with Shinzy-- she is precise, professional, and attentive to what style you want with your hair. I've been told numerous times from other salons that my hair was too damaged or too thick or too unruly to get the specific cut that I want, but when I ask Shinzy for a style, she will make sure it meets my standards while maintaining my texture and taming the thickness of the hair. She is not only skilled with hair cutting, dyeing and perms, but also a pleasant person to talk to during what could be a long visit. I come to Sam's Hair all the way from Boston to get my cut with Shinzy, and I reckon everyone else who is hesitating about coming to Sam's Hair from out of state to do so too!!! :)

I’m in the beauty industry and very picky about my hair, so I’ve tried many salons and stylists over the years. Yoojin is by far the best when it comes to haircut, color, and perm.

I’ve been going to her for years now and even switched my husband and friends to her because I truly trust her skill and professionalism. What really stands out is that her haircuts set beautifully and actually look even better after a few days, which is the opposite of what I’ve experienced elsewhere.

She also found the perfect hair color for me, and I’ve received so many compliments since. My husband gets his haircut and perm from her too, and it’s the best he’s ever had. He once went to a stylist a friend recommended, but the result wasn’t great, so he had to go back to Yoojin to fix it.

I'm a guy and this was the first time I went in to a non-barber shop to get my hair done. Gayeon was the one who worked with me and she suggested a couple options. She made it non-intimidating and I ended up getting a down perm and volume perm (I think those were the names?) because I wanted to try something different. And it worked out amazingly; my wife was amazed and I was thoroughly satisfied. My wife got her hair done by someone else but she loves the result as well.
