My son wanted a bay fishing trip as a graduation present. I booked a trip with Captain Brian and he did not disappoint. He knows where the fish are and how to catch them. We caught Snook, Redfish, and Trout. My son was able to catch a Slam on his first bay trip. Brian worked hard to keep us on fish at several different places. He is serious about fishing yet fun to be around. We plan on booking again when returning to Clearwater.

My 12 year old son and I had an absolutely amazing half-day trip recently with Capt. Brian! We landed 32 Reds in about 2 hours, so I think it’s safe to say that the Capt know where the fish are. Super friendly, great communication via emails and texts leading up to the trip, and a very nice, clean, well-equipped boat. I would definitely book him again the next time I’m in town. Highly recommended.

We had a great trip inshore fishing with Captain Brian Mathey. He definitely knew where to go to find the fish! Four of us went out in the morning and caught snook, trout and red drum! Enough to feed eight adults two big meals during our stay. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for the best Clearwater area fishing trip that we've ever had!!

I contacted Brian about surprising my husband with an inshore fishing trip for his 40th birthday. He answered all of my questions, there were many since I knew nothing about a fishing excursion. Our December trip was amazing. Brian was extremely knowledgeable about the fishing patterns relating to the tide, weather, and location. He had us on fish all day. He was very patient with me and my skill level when it came to fishing, and took time to explain things to me. I was worried I would feel uncomfortable since I don’t really fish but that wasn’t the case. Ladies, if you’re looking to surprise your man with a fishing excursion, Brian is 10/10 recommended! We had an incredible day on the water catching the Florida Grand Slam, can’t wait to book again...

OVER 100 Fish caught on January 31, 2020!! Starting with the first cast and only seconds in the water… Boom Sea Trout on! Family reunion time in Clearwater Florida! My brother and his family are in town from Rhode Island and my brother-in-law & his family are in town from Oregon. The weather has been all over the place leading up to this day And only 60° the day before. We are counting on catching some fish. Brian was referred to us by Jeff Smith and he Over Delivered on a Fun 1/2 day of Fishing!! We Caught Sea Trout(many over 20”, Sheepshead and a Red Fish!! Brian is very professional and communicates great!! We will definitely be using him again in the future! Thank you Brian, for a day we will...

My family and I have been fishing with Captain Brian for 6 years now and usually a couple times a year. Our trip every June is the one I look forward to all year long. I can always count on Capt. Brian to position us over monster Tarpon and world class Snook in June. I can equally count on him to put us on big reds in the fall. It is always a blast whether I have my two young sons and wife on the boat for fun fishing with constantly bent rods, or just the guys chasing monsters. Capt.
