Honeymoon Island in Florida is a popular destination known for its natural beauty, diverse activities, and serene environment. Located just a short drive from Clearwater, this state park offers over four miles of beaches, along with a three-mile nature trail that passes through one of the last remaining virgin slash pine forests. Visitors often spot wildlife such as eagles, osprey, gopher tortoises, and armadillos.

The island is a great spot for a variety of activities, including swimming, shelling, fishing, hiking, and bicycling. For those interested in exploring more, the Rotary Centennial Nature Center offers exhibits on the park's history and environment, along with breathtaking views from its observation deck.

Honeymoon Island is also known for its pet-friendly beach, one of the few in the area where dogs are allowed. Additionally, you can take a ferry from Honeymoon Island to Caladesi Island, another stunning, unspoiled beach with opportunities for kayaking and nature walks.

If you're planning a visit, remember to bring essentials like sunscreen, water, and comfortable walking shoes, as the island has plenty to explore. It's also a good idea to check the water conditions, as the park uses beach warning flags to inform visitors of any...

This is the beach we visit every time we go to Florida. There is a nice Greek restaurant in town we also hit before or after to eat. It is so beautiful The water is blue and the sand is clean and white. The showers and bathrooms are kept very clean. Great family place and tons of shells to grab all different sizes. You could be here all day and never get board. Driving out to the beach is cool. You go down a road with water on both sides. Also they have a little museum with souvenirs before getting to the beach. It is state owned and they have trails to walk as well. Watch out for rattlers. They have signs saying that but I never...

A very nice area, lots of trees. You wouldn't think you were in a highly populated area with lots of tourists. Lots of space and beach. If you walk farther up the beach the amount of people it's really low. You could walk for a long time to get to the end. One could easily make a whole day out of being here. You can also take the Ferry over to the other island. Both this island and the ferry coast additional money. Be sure to call if you plan to take the ferry to see if...

The beach wash really nice and full of shells. Went in mid September and not crowded at all. Water was nice, area clean. Some roads had detours but it didn't stop you from finding a good spot to park at beach. The only thing that surprised us was the abundance of black bugs that we assume were mosquitoes, we went to bathroom and picnic table area and oh my gosh, they swarms us and we got out of there. Carry bug spray if you want to picnic or use restrooms.

One of the best beaches in the country! Beautiful clear water and clean sand all free! U just pull ur car or truck right up on the beach park and enjoy the day! U can rent kayaks or stand up paddle boards reasonably priced or bring your own. U can grab a drink or cocktail at the surf shack and watch the sunset. U can fish right off the beach and catch fish all day. Can’t beat it!
