What a great experience for our first Kentucky canoeing trip. Communication and travel to and from the river was breeze. Mammoth Cave National park was beautiful. We floated the 8 mile on Friday and the 12mile(recommended) on Saturday. Get on the river early! There is a lot of paddling and not many rapids to help guide you down the river. Expect about 2 miles per hour of canoeing. Life jackets are required to be worn any time you are on the water. River access is a bit tricky so be prepared to carry your canoe. DNR has a presence but didn’t give us too much trouble. This is not a busy river. We saw maybe 40 people on the entire 2-day 20 mile float. Happy Floating!

Loved our day on the Green River with our kids-ages 12, 7 and 3. We saw lots of wildlife, enjoyed the peace and scenery of the NP and loved stopping on islands to snack and swim. Check in was seamless and efficient and we were on our way to the river within minutes. They did inform us at check in that you can fish without a license in the NP-note to future tourists as that would have been fun 🙂 Remember to pocket a little cash to tip the driver. Wonderful time!

Fantastic place to kayak and they had very nice workers. I would recommend the 8 mile option for people who don’t normally kayak. We did the 12 mile option and everyone I was with was over it by the end but 8 would’ve been perfect. The site says it should take 5.5 hours for the 12 but it took us closer to 8 hours including stopping for food.

When we initially pulled into the parking lot, it wasn't the nicest looking place, but they said they had recently moved locations and with all the rain they hadn't been able to finish the concrete area. With all the rain, they were incredibly honest with us regarding how high the river was and that it was moving faster than normal. They said we could go look at the water and if we decided we didn't feel safe, especially with kids, they would give us a full refund. We looked and decided we would go ahead and canoe. The river was muddy (b/c of rain) and moving quickly, so we weren't able to stop the canoe and swim or anything. We do feel the trail could have been marked more clearly. One of our kids just happened to see sign that said we needed to exit. The hardest part was pushing the canoe up the stairs at the end, but we were warned about this multiple times. Our only complaint would be how muddy the river was and not being able to stop, but neither of those were any fault of the company. Overall, we were happy with the company. The people were nice and we greatly appreciated their honesty. We would canoe...

If you are looking for an experienced and friendly outfitter for your trip down the river then this is it! Everyone was friendly and easy to deal with, very helpful. The day of our trip we were provided with information about the river and good places to stop along the way. We were also provided with a map that had the highlighted route and life vest. Our transport was great, once again friendly and helpful putting our canoes in the water. We chose the 12 mile trip , it was gorgeous. My children are older and love to explore so this was a great trip for us. We saw lots of wildlife including otters! I packed a lunch in my backpack for my family and we stopped on sand island to eat. We did not have any cellular service on the river so we were not able to call when we got a few miles from the end. We were able to call as soon as we got to Houtchin Ferry and they picked us up right away. I highly recommend...

Went canoeing labor day 2016. Used Green river since we saw their add in a coupon book we received from the national park. After calling and reserving a time the lady on phone stated she would send a text with location and some instructions. This was never received even after calling back 3 times. We used google maps to locate them. The office was a very hot storage barn type shed. The lady was not pleasant. When we paid she stated the coupon was not valid for holidays. I asked why this was not on the coupon and she dismissed this. The van ride to the river was in a beater dodge can with no AC. Once at the river we had to help unload he boats from racks. This was not an easy task and the boats are very heavy. They should inform customers that they are expected to do this as this would be very hard for older folks. The canoe trip was very enjoyable and our kids had fun. But I would never use this...
