Leah's Gift & Flower Shoppe — Local services in Parkersburg

I’d give this ZERO stars if I could—- Two times in a row my order was not delivered. Both times the floral arrangement was ordered at least a day in advanced, and both times my daughters special day, National Nurses Day, went by without her gift being delivered. At the time I placed the order, and asked happy nurses day be written on the card, the girl actually snarkedly said to me “well there’s a day for everything“. I am very proud of my daughter being a third generation nurse and whether or not they feel it is a profession or day worthy of being celebrated, I was placing an order for a service. Today, when I called to find out what happened and stated this was the second time in a row this has happened to me, I was treated EXTREMELY rudely and unprofessionally, and was told they were very busy with Mother’s Day and funerals. When I pointed out that I should have been turned away at the time I placed the order if they were too busy, she snapped at me, repeatedly. This was overheard by my husband. I get she was frustrated, but it is not my error that the order was overlooked. It is unfortunate when you have a personal philosophy of supporting small town businesses and when a error is made, that business puts it back on you somehow that is your fault. Leah was able to make a beautiful bouquet upon request in less than an hour. She took the time to ask me what color theme, favorite flowers, and price point I wanted to stay at. I’ve had a few other arrangements done by her and they all turn out beautiful. Highly recommend!...

It's nice to have a flower shop here, I'd much rather shop small local business than go all the way to Waterloo or cedar falls to shop at a chain. It's a nice little shop and they will deliver flowers to the school when one of my kids...
