It is time to write a well-deserved note of thanks and praise to the great folks at Wall Landscape Services LLC. I will try to convey the great satisfaction that we have with the work this company did at our home in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ.

Our home sits at a gentle bottom slope on our street and collects rainwater drainage onto our property from “upstream“ and “adjoining from across the backyard” properties due to the grading of the properties and lack of interior drainage works. My understanding is that when the Farmsteads development was created interior drainage was neither considered nor emplaced, thus backyards have water runoff issues that need tending by the homeowners themselves, or backyard areas are simply left unused due to the frequency of inundation.

Not wanting to create dams and levees or bring in fill to block flow of water - as that would be bad neighbor-liness and cause bad karma for all - we instead sought drainage solutions from several companies. One company offered fill and grading to divert flow elsewhere. Another suggested there was really nothing that we could do. Others proposed placing subterranean drainage improvements as a fix.

The company who offered us the greatest sense of comfort and ease in their capability and knowledge to ameliorate surface water ponding was Wall Landscape Services LLC. Tom Wall, the company lead, offered comprehensive solutions to not only the ponding on our property, but also to deal with gutter and downspout water and sump pump outflows. With many satisfied customers part of their history in Parsippany, and after pondering various quotes and estimates, we came to an agreement on the extent of improvements, cost, and a payment schedule and got on their calendar and we are so happy that we did.

The entire project took about one week from start to finish once the necessary permits were obtained by the company. Massive piping and catch basins were delivered and machinery arrived to dig trenches. Tom was present every day along with the great team, and he worked in the trenches personally making critical drainage pipe connections. And now for the best part... Our property is now standing-water-free, with no soft squishy areas on the property notwithstanding the many multiple day rainstorms or even hurricanes we have experienced since. The drainage works by Wall Landscape Services LLC is functioning so well that when there are threats of hurricanes and rainstorms and flooding, I say, “bring it!” That’s how successful the works installed have proven to be, and how confident I am that the drainage works will continue to be into the future.

We completely and wholeheartedly recommend Wall Landscape Services LLC to provide excellent design and construction of drainage works, along with outstanding customer service, including frequent consultation and updates on ongoing work, and the thorough and complete solutions to eliminate drainage issues. We’ve had several projects completed by Wall Landscaping Services including a new backyard patio and walkway, full drainage system, shrub removal, river rock installation, and Spring cleanup. They also hand-dug a 6-foot long by 4-foot wide by 6-foot deep hole in the front lawn to locate the waste/sewer pipe leading to the street in order for the town’s Sewer department to repair the faulty pipe. Once the pipe repair was completed by the town’s Sewer Department, Tommy and his team returned to our home and carefully back-filled the hole with the dirt they removed.

Each project was top-notch. Tommy and his team of qualified, trained professional landscapers arrived on time, were very efficient, thorough, careful, and friendly.

Since everything was exactly planned out and explained during the initial estimate, there were no surprises or hidden fees along the way.

Tommy was on the job site along with his team every minute of each project to both supervise and work alongside his crew.
