Country Cabin Steak House — Local services in Pearson

The Country Cabin is a great location for a good family meal. You can taste that everything is home made. Even the baked beans were simmered on location. The onion petals were light and airy, not full of grease. The bacon on the cheese fries was smoked. You could taste it and smell the difference, not fried or premade but legit smoked! The steaks were good, however I prefer ribeye which weren't offered and they were over cooked for my husband and my taste. We are rare/medium rare people and they came out medium. That's the only reason we decided to give 4/5 stars. I will say that the ranch dressing is amazing. I would buy a gallon to take home if possible! It was very convenient that they left drink pitchers at the table! The back porch is the most relaxing place I have found in a while. As my son threw bread to the ducks and geese down by the pond below, I sat in the rare silence provided by the double paned windows listening to the patter of rain on a tin roof and water slowly rocking back and forth on one of old rocking chairs. The day melted away.

i’ve never EVER complained about country cabin their food/ service is ALWAYS a 10/10. however today i was a bit(very) disappointed because our server didn’t come ask if everything was alright once we got our food. she refilled my drink because i had the lid off and to the side but after she didn’t ask nothing just dropped it off and attended her tables. throughout, she went to EVERY other table and asked how everything was but OUR TABLE AND ALL I WANTED WAS SOME RANCH for my STEAK. and yes it’s very serious because i wasn’t able to enjoy it this time seeing that our server attended every other table yet would pass ours every single time (AND WE SAT IN THE MIDDLE OF all HER TABLES) till she handed us our receipt. i’m not sure what was going on but we were so nice and i don’t think we deserved to be ignored. some customers do...

We had a bunch of people to eat. The food was great. Our server was the sweetest cutest most precious gal we could ever ask for. We were not even upset with the bill , UNTIL!!! Now folks, what does tips or gratuity mean? Money's given to show ones appreciation, right. I about had a coronary when I saw the tip was included. We all did not appreciate this. Please stop this discretion right now. Our server would have made twice the tip been left up to us,as we are very generous if our server is generous. Tips are for the customer to decide... not all servers a good.we will give them an upside down penny. Gratuities are given by the person...
