Gritters Electric, Inc. — Local services in Pella

Brand new build. Many faulting circuits and code violations (I.e. cannot use exterior lights and adjust master bed, incorrect breakers installed etc). Owner, Mark Richards, refused to walk through with inspector to address issues. Richards admitted to inspector that he illegally allowed an apprentice to run the project, but won’t address any of the issues. Now hiring a new electrician to fix their mistakes on a new $2M home. Very disappointing. Would not recommend to anyone.

Will add photos later of incorrectly cut junction box holes, junk meter structure install way out of level, generator uninstalled and left sitting on apron (even though charged for), and other issues as found.

Will also later post copies of formal electrical board complaint for unlicensed work performed.

Be very aware.

My neighbor had an electrical fire at 11:30 on Friday night. I called a local electrician who referred me to Gritters. I called their Emergency number Saturday and spoke with a wonderful gentleman by the name of Mark who was in DM at a soccer game.He said he would make a couple phone calls and within a half hour I received a phone call from a gentleman by the name of Sam who is also amazing.
