Storehouse Pembroke — Local services in Pembroke

After seeing several billboards advertising this store we decided to check it out. Let’s just say I’m glad i didn’t travel all the way from Brunswick (where we’d recently seen a billboard) to check this out, because if I had, I’d be very upset. Yes they have some “unique” items that may be hard to find at other chain home decor/renovation stores, but aside from that, the selection is small and the prices aren’t anything great. You can find better deals at a home goods or TJ Maxx. The only thing that really caught our attention was their selection of butcher block. They were priced well and had a few different options. In addition to being disappointed by the selection, they also need to work on their safety procedures. There was a man driving very fast on a fork lift through this rather cramped store without any warning and kept getting stoped by staff and chatting; you didn’t know what direction he was going or when he was going to start moving again. After that encounter, we bailed. For a small town store I suppose it’s something special for the locals, but I wouldn’t waste...

DO NOT, I repeat do not buy wood flooring from there! If I could leave negative stars I would. I’ll be lucky if these floors I’ve just put down last 3 years… The wood bottom is terrible/easily breaking and doesn’t want to lock good together and anyone who knows that’s the whole point of them type floors to lock together. We ordered over 2-3 thousand dollars worth and two of the boxes the edges on the wood were messed up and we couldn’t use it. The owners will not help you they make it clear you buy it can’t bring it back. I’ve talk to some that do floors for a living and they even say if the floors come from there they will refuse to put it down because it hell to do and it will not last. Had some family members that was going to come and get some floors from here (and spend mega $$) but after looking at mine they would rather pay more money somewhere else for it to last. When we decided to subcontract the build of our new house, it was a little overwhelming and we were in somewhat uncharted territories. We heard about Storehouse Salvage and that was our first stop and it was the best first start. Sebrina, was the person that came up to us asking if we needed help and she has stuck with us throughout the whole seven month process of building our home. She is taking very good care of us, which is why we kept going back there for building supplies. Not to mention their prices are better than most if not all competitors.
