Okay, so the workers are probably the nicest workers I’ve come across in Pittsburgh. They aren’t rude, they don’t give you attitude for asking simple questions, so that’s why I gave 2 stars. Maybe I’m spoiled because I lived next to the GE Market District store but this one just does not live up to my expectations. For example, they’ve been out of butter since before Christmas. The week of Christmas they had a few boxes of unsalted but other than that, gone. Of course, they have margarine and that fancy a** $20 a stick Euro butter, but nobody wants that. Other staples like eggs and heavy cream are always in low supply. Spices? Forget it, some of them have been out of stock for a YEAR. I go at least once a week if not more, so it’s not like I’m just missing it. The seafood counter is awful, but again, that could just be me being spoiled by the MD. Meat selection is always lacking, I was there yesterday and they had no chicken breasts. I feel like they just don’t keep high supplies of everyday staples, stuff that the majority of people always buy, so they run out quick. Yeah, you’ll save money but you’re left with frustrated customers. Like for example, the picture I included, they’ve been out of Lunchables for at least two weeks. You know kids are in school why wouldn’t you make sure stuff like that is in stock? They do have a nice international aisle and the store is clean. Also, shout out to the woman security guard, she’s so awesome! Definitely the best part about the place!

What can I say, it is a giant eagle. Not the greatest giant eagle, but certainly not the worst. Limited selection in certain departments and categories. The place is clean, and appears to be well managed. Department people like bakery and deli are very friendly; checkers are also quite friendly. The prices, well, it’s giant eagle, so yeah. I’m embarrassed to have bought pre-shucked corn for over a dollar and ear, but it is what it is.

It's giant eagle if you don't look for the savings coupon or your perks Go there for the quick stuff I don't recommend shopping cause you won't get a bang for your buck sadly 😕

It's close to my house, so it's where I go to shop most of the time.the convenience is what I love. It's on the bus line. They have majority of the things I need. There were a few items that I had to go to another Giant Eagle because they didn't have certain items. It's says they have the option to curbside pick up ( no delivery) on the google but on the eagle app I can't figure out how to use it because it doesn't give me the option. There are days where I do go in and the line are very backed up due to possibly not enough staff, but I catch the bus so the timing of the lines and the time my bus comes go together perfectly. Other times the lines move okay. There are a mixture of ages that work the lines so with the older workers, it just makes sense to have patience although I personally think they're good at their job, I get in the line and get out without issues. Everytime I ask for double bags, the cashier does a good job with helping me with that. There was two different times by cashier's who were either distracted by the conversation they were having or the emotions were not in a good place to where my things got bagged in a way that bothered me, my bread were bagged with raw meat and the other time, my eggs were bagged with chemicals. But besides those two situations there were no other issues. The cashier's are friendly. There's a bus stop shelter when you leave out the store, they also have jitneys, the drivers are very kind people. When I take my little one to the bathroom, the bathroom don't smell bad, there's sometimes pee and backed up toilets but one time it was really bad and they had someone in there as soon...

This giant eagle is one of the worst.early morning shopping has usually one cashier working. The cashiers employed are all dour faced as if headed to a funeral. April 19 2024.the one cashier closed her register to go to the service desk to buy lottery scratch off tickets. Leaving one cash register open.the cashier was unable to comprehend a 4 pack of batteries was wanted to purchase.i explained it several times.he brought me a 10 pack of lithium batteries instead.when I informed him thst was notwhat I asked for,he voided and deleted the batteries and also my advantage card, which i did not notice until checking my receipt in my car.i had to return inside the store, where the cashier insisted i never gave him my.advantage card.i went to the service desk to complain and it was closed!at 9:30a.m. and a sign was on the desk saying "on break".the store opened at 7 a.m. and in 2 hours they had a break?i requested rhe manager be paged 3 times the manager never bothered to come to the front break time was.more important than customer issues. Later someone got in touch with me to correct the errors.and apologize. However giant eagle has employee issues at several stores. Its time to switch to shop n save or...
