Seemed nice at first, guy even helped carry the bag of soil to the car. Driving home it smelled like mold in the car. I thought, ok, maybe it's just the outside of the bag. Once home, opened the bag and the Happy Frog soil definitely smelled like mold. I called the store, the guy said that I could return it. So I took the 2 small starter planter pots I had filled and emptied those back into the bag and taped it shut, trying to be careful not to lose any soil. Once back at the store, the same guy who helped with carrying the soil to the car (that I did give a small tip btw) and on the phone helped with refunding the money. He weighed the bag we returned, then weighed an unopened bag from the pallet, then said 'it's 2 pounds short, but that's ok' and handed me $15.00. The soil was $14.95 plus sales tax so $16.07. Anyhow, I was a bit offended that he would insinuate that we did not put all the soil back into the bag, I only tried to fill 2 small hand size planting 4 inch across by 5 inch deep pots and emptied those back in and taped the bag. I expressed to him how much honesty is important to me and I would not do such a thing. Then a co-worker stepped up and asked if he weighed it correctly the bag barely fit on the scale and he had it in a box that was half on, half off. Anyhow, the whole experience left me with a bad feeling about the place. He tried to say that the 'mold' we smelled was just the way the compost smells, but both my daughter and I agreed that we clearly could smell mold. The co-worker gave me the tax money back or at least all but maybe 4 cents back. But, it is the principal of the matter. smh Disappointing too, because we thought we would go back some time for the produce, but doubt we will now after all that silliness. Oh yeah, so when I came home I checked to see how much soil missed the bag and I would be lucky to fill a half of a teaspoon...I took pictures...so yeah guess that half teaspoon weighed a whopping 2 lbs....NOT....nor 1 pound. Why in the world would I want to keep 2 pounds of moldy soil, I clearly could have bought a small bag of good soil for 5 bucks and not wasted time or gas. Aggravated enough to write...

Read moreAs a local that has been here my whole life I’ve been going to Bailey’s since I was little back when it was located on Fairfield. To say that Baileys has changed drastically is an understatement. We used to go all of the time, but now we have stopped. I went in my last time last weekend. I will never be back. The produce is way overpriced and quite honestly rots when you get home. It does not last long. That’s not all produce, but a lot of it. There’s word going around by locals that have been here our whole lives that we are not going back. None of us are shopping there anymore. One can find produce much less expensive and better quality at Publix believe it or not. It’s even better to go in North Florida to the farms and get your produce there because it’s better quality and much less expensive. From what we understand, Bailey’s was bought out by people not from here. They’ve recently bought a new building so prices have gone up substantially. I want to let Baileys know that locals have taken notice and we are not coming back and it’s not just a few people. There are many people that I’ve talked to that refuse to go to Bailey’s anymore. It’s sad because it used to be our go to, but now we steer far from it. Take notice. You can find better quality produce at Publix or your local farmers north...
