If youāre serious about coffee, Echo Coffee Co. is the place to be. Iām a little picky when it comes to my coffee, and Echo has never let me down. One of the biggest things I look for is consistency. When I find a coffee I love, I want it to taste the same every time I order it. Echo nails this every single time. My go-to is typically a pour-over. At Echo, I order a pour-over with their single-origin Ethiopian or El Salvador beans; the quality and precision in every cup are unmatched.
There was one instance when my Ethiopian pour-over wasnāt quite as great as usual. The barista actually noticed that I wasnāt drinking it and, without hesitation, made me a fresh cup using different beans. He took the time to explain what went wrong with the beans in the first one and sincerely apologized. That level of attentiveness and commitment to customer satisfaction is rare, and itās one of the many reasons I keep coming back.
Beyond the coffee, Echo has a great selection of pastries, a breakfast burrito, and waffles. The ambiance is another standout feature. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, making it the perfect spot to study, work, or just relax. The shop/tables are always clean, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and modern. There is plenty of parking since Echo shares the lot with the church, making it incredibly convenient. Before discovering Echo, my go-to coffee spot was downtown Pensacola, where I either had to pay for parking or find a free spot several blocks away and walk. Echoās location eliminates that hassle, making it a much more accessible and stress-free option.
If you appreciate high-quality coffee, exceptional service, and a welcoming space, this is the place to go....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately, my experience here was pretty disappointing.
I ordered a cheese danish, and it was served completely cold ā straight from the fridge with no offer to have it warmed up. Biting into it felt like biting into a brick. When I got home and warmed it myself, it turned into what felt like pure, liquid grease.
I also tried their new fall drink, the Golden Pumpkin. Honestly, it tasted like someone shaved a raw pumpkin straight into the cup. There was barely any coffee flavor ā maybe a 4/10 at best. It wasnāt terrible, but definitely not something Iād crave enough to come back for. My husbandās drink was supposed to be a cold brew, but it tasted like pure liquid orange sugar with zero coffee flavor.
On top of that, I noticed that most of the employees had their hair down. In a food and drink environment, itās pretty standard to have hair tied back for sanitary reasons, and it gave the whole experience a slightly off-putting vibe.
Overall, between the food, drinks, and cleanliness concerns, I donāt think Iāll be rushing back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEcho Coffee Co is definitely my new go-to spot. From the moment you walk in, the bright and welcoming atmosphere makes it clear this place is more than just a coffee shopāitās a community. While I noticed that many of the visitors seemed to be from the nearby church, I still felt completely welcomed. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The're happy to recommend a drink or chat about the menu.
The coffee and quiche are absolutely exceptional. You can tell they take real pride in what they serve. They also have a great selection of pastries and light bites that pair perfectly with their drinks.
This is the kind of spot Iād return to for relaxing, catching up with friends, or even getting some work done in a cozy, inviting space. If youāre in the area, Echo Coffee Co is definitely...
