This is the best legion I've ever encountered. Be nice and you will be surprised by how the friendly townspeople of Backus will reward you even if they've never seen you before. The commander will more than likely introduce himself and point you in the right direction anyway. He's a fun and very social person ! If you can hit a meat raffle on Friday, get in as close to 5 as you can. If you're lucky, and win 3 or more times, you'll get a nice pig hat and sign to wear for a friendly "Meat Hog" pic. I am a member of the Backus American Legion. You will find it to be a friendly place. The drinks are reasonably priced, in the $3.00 to $3.50 range.
