Corner Store and Restaurant — Restaurant in Pequot Lakes

The restaurant, gas station with convenience store, and gun shop are all attached. The restaurant is on the right. It has its own entrance but is also attached to the C-store via a hallway. The gun shop is its own section in the C-store. There is also a bait and tackle section.

I’ve eaten there a lot. I love it. It’s always a good meal at a good price. Nothing fancy, just small town cafe style fare. Great homemade pies. The Texas toast is buttered and grilled just how I like it. The honey mustard is the best I’ve had, and the wife usually orders the chicken strip basket just so she can dip in it. Breakfasts are just like grandma made. There is always a special of the day.

The C-store has the usual snacks, drinks, hot food, and other common items.

The gun shop has quite an impressive selection. Rifles, shotguns, handguns, ammo, scopes, firearm accessories, knives, and other hunting gear. If you are in the area and like guns it is a must see.

Our first impression of the place was the prices were very reasonable. As we sat down at a dirty table, we waited for someone to come clean it off for us, no one came so I had to grab a rag and clean it myself. Our waitress finally came and took our drink order, but then proceeded to gave us the wrong drinks. As we're waiting for our food to come we watched the other waitress stand around gossiping, refusing to help each other out. They would leave food in the window because it wasn't their table, even if it meant sitting in the window for 5-10 minutes. After almost 50 minutes of waiting for our food, it came out cold from sitting in the window, and my wife's eggs were cooked completely wrong. Wonderful experience! From the locals to the restaurant to the employees, we didn’t just feel welcomed, we felt at home.

My husband and I went to the restaurant for take out this morning and we were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. We were obviously out of place and everyone we encountered went out of their way to welcome us.

The food was fantastic! I ordered the country friend steak and eggs. It was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy. He couldn’t say enough about how tasty it was. He LOVED the biscuits.
