Penngrove Market — Local services in Petaluma

I like the layout of the store. Ease of shopping. One could consider PM more of boutique type. High end quality products and priced as such. They have a prepared foods department with grab and go and wood fired pizza. I ordered one and will come back to try others.

I was a bit peeved about my hot soup top of container not being secured. It leaked and when I arrived home all the groceries fell out. Cashiers should be more careful when bagging.

This local market has a lot of potential. Improving every time I shop there. I live nearby and shop for convenience, quality and atmosphere.

The prepared foods in the grab and go case are delicious! From the premade quality sandwiches to the couscous w/toasted chickpea's, to the homemade bread pudding..

The produce is fresh, organic and wonderfully displayed. they are adding new products in grocery every time I visit. Great Job!

Are you totally fed up with Amazon Whole Foods? Then do something about it and shop at an independent local market! Penngrove Market completely surpassed my expectations. It's clean, spaciously-laid-out, full of natural light and so human feeling. You'll walk out feeling happy instead of crowded and tired.

You'll find something for everybody in your household here, from organic produce, to thoughtfully curated packaged goods, to prepared foods. Five stars from our household for abundant vegan options and a small but workable bulk section with real food in it instead of candy.

Highly recommended for both Penngrove and Petaluma shoppers! I have been to this market a few times because I love that it is a community market but I have had enough negative experiences there that I don't plan to return. The first time I went, I bought something that was listed as one price but when they rang it up it was a higher price. When I asked about it, they said it was their mistake and they needed to change the price listed on the tag but didn't honor their listed price. The next time I went, I ordered two pizzas from them and they were both undercooked to the point that they were really doughy and we weren't sure they were safe to eat. I decided to give them one more shot and ordered a pizza with but asked that they swap out the cheese for a different kind cheese. Rather than replacing the cheese and treating it as a substitution, they charged me extra for the new cheese. Overall, I have experienced low quality and high prices from this market and it saddens me to say that I can't recommend it as a...
