Been coming here for years, before and after the change in ownership. Overall, we've always had a good experience, but today was not good, and it's all on this bartender. Never seen him before but hes bad enough to keep us from coming in while hes working. We sat in a booth, looked at menus, never even being acknowledged by him. Menus were put down and we sat waiting, making eye contact. Sat for 7 minutes til he walked by and asked him if there was a waitress handling this section? Nope, he says, just me. Then kept walking. Went outside, went in the back, then settled himself behind the bar just talking. After 10 minutes, I started recording him. Unbelievably rude to just ignore us. Then, he yells over the bar, See something you like? You want drinks. My husband tells back our drink order. He says, you know what food you want? My husband says, yeah, we've been ready. Then, he pours the drinks AND HAS THE CUSTOMER BRING THE DRINKS to us. Do I know where this guy's hands have been? This bartender is white, about 6 feet tall, reddish hair cut really short. Customers from outside were coming in to get service, to settle their bill, etc. Everyone but the people sitting at the bar were ignored. If this is the best Twin Oaks can get to represent them, their business is going...
Read moreGreat environment, friendly staff. I was in the band. Although the sound support system was very good, the sound guy left a lot to be desired. The evening began with the stage right speaker not working. After watching him spend 10 minutes trying to fix it, I checked it and found the audio level (volume control) to be turned all the way down. During sound check we had no audio from the stage monitors. He couldn't find the problem. I discovered the same problem with the monitor volumes. Seriously sound guy? You couldnt figure this out? During performance we had little to no audio in the stage monitors, only the main speakers, which were in front of the band, making it difficult to hear ourselves. I've played with this band for decades. I honestly can't remember how many live gigs we've done. Sound support wise, this was easily one...
Read moreFabulous place that is truly a diamond in the rough. You could easily drive past this place if you are not looking for it. We live in Arizona, but our family lives in Marin. My husband craves the Twin Oak hot chicken sandwich....the only scheduled event we have during our trips to CA is lunch at this spot. The entire menu is off the charts. Also, my son has an allergy to all nuts. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure his safety; my son says the cheeseburger is a 10/10. Honestly, my family loves it here. We enjoy sitting in the booths inside, or they have an adorable area out back with picnic tables (and overhead lights). Absolutely a MUST if you are...
