The sad thing I noticed about this store is they seem to make sure healthy options don't remain available. I was shocked one day to see some non-GMO bread in the bread isle. Many in the neighborhood probably don't care or even know what that is. But I normally go further out to find this type of bread. So I grabbed two loafs and went to the counter. The girl at the register couldn't find it in the system. So she did pretty much what I expected and I'm confident management knew this as well. She told me she couldn't sell it to me. She didn't try and figure what to do, or who to call to correct it. I expected that. So I left without it. When I got home, I decided to try and call the store and get a manager. Of course no one answered the phone. So I let it go, but decided to check on it later to see what happened to the bread. I went back a week later and all the bread was gone and hadn't been replaced. All the regular breads were there. So I saw one of the ladies stocking the shelves in the vegetable department and I asked her what happened to the non-GMO bread that was there a week ago. She said no one purchased it, so the rep took it out and we won't be ordering that anymore. This is how food supply in poor neighborhoods is controlled. The poor are sure to get the worst food there is because people that run the store aren't from the neighborhood and don't buy their food there and don't care about the people who shop there. It's terrible, but if the people don't demand change this is what happens. The owners and managers will make the excuse that these types of foods don't sell because they are more expensive. But that's a lame excuse. There are people in this neighborhood that want those healthy choices and would buy them if they were available. You just don't have to buy truck loads of...
Read moreTruly this complaint is necessary as not only my experience a violation to health safety but customer service a zero. Her name is Keisha and she states she is the manager in Deli her words ask they know who I am. Well I asked her to wash her hands please as I witnessed her eating a full cpurse lunch wiping her mouth talking on a contaminated cell phone in which she refused to comply. She changed her gloves only rolling her eyes. How rude . I pray that tjis individual aka manager get the most needed proper training in order to represent your place of business in a way satisfactory and not health risked for customers. She truly needs this training STAT! My hope is that this human being that lacks everything that my words and heart can speak gets the needed conversation because she really bring this store...
Read moreThis store has surprisingly diverse products but lacks hygienic capacity. Unfortunately An overwhelming odor overpowers you upon entry, because a large trash tote is baking in the entry vestibule. Metal parts of meat displays have dried blood smears. The spill pads in the meat coolers have been saturated multiple times then left to dry and are not changed out frequently leading to a rank smell of decomposition throughout the store.
L+I report from 1/6/25 also notes cleaning deficiencies in the meat and prep areas.
Supporting local business is important to me but I have no confidence in purchasing refrigerated products here.
This store is not affiliated with the great value...
