Kingsessing Library — Attraction in Philadelphia

We have been visiting this library location this year since our closest library is closed for renovations. Were it closer, we would definitely continue to go even when the other reopened.

The story time ("block party") has never failed to introduce us to fun new books. And it's refreshing to let the kids play with blocks instead of singing and dancing since my daughter never wants to join the dancing at other story times we've attended.

This library is no where near as welcoming or as friendly as The Lucien Blackwell Library on 52nd Street, which is an AMAZING resource to the community. The folks there are super friendly, always willing to help, cross-trained and there is a HUGE computer area! When you walk in the door, someone always greets you.

Kingsessing is an entirely different vibe. Certainly adequate computer resources & staff, but, again, not particularly welcoming or engaging. Doesn't feel...

Also I've been to hundreds of library's and they always help make change for people who need to use the printer. She was like "We dont make change" with a very sarcastic and nasty look (for 25pennies to equal a quarter so I could print 1 sheet). Never...
