I went to this place yesterday because of the reviews. Big NO. I arrived and there was a younger girl there to start washing my hair. She picked a towel up off of the couch. I am not sure if it was clean because it was the only towel just laying there. The sink that she used to wash my hair was very unstable. She washed it and proceeded to blow dry it. While she was blow drying my hair I saw a roach come out from all of these packs of hair just laying on the floor. I couldn't believe it. This place was not clean at all. This lady that was sleep all the way in the back on the floor; she gets up and asks me what style did I want to get. I showed her the picture that I sent to the owner. She immediately said we don't do stitch braids. The girl stopped drying my hair and said it will be $25 for her washing my hair. This I couldn't believe. If you are charging all of this money to braid someone's hair and your shop isn't clean and the women working there do not know what's going on this is sad. I told them that my hair was not even blow dried all the way. The younger girl said this isn't the Dominicans laughing, she was very unprofessional. I woke up and contacted Bea for the first time ever. She responded promptly on Whatsapp and on my text messages. She was able to set an appt for my 9 year old on the same day. She washed,blow dried her out and braided her hair. I have never trusted anyone to touch my baby's locks until today. She was gentle and nice to my daughter, who by the way has a head full of thick hair and is very tender headed. When I say that little girl said her head doesn't hurt, Bea made her comfortable, she told her what she wanted and she got just that. She's happy, I'm happy and we have a stylist for my baby for as long as she accepts our bookings. She also did it faster than I ever have. It's neat and full well moisturized,tight but not to the point of hurting, she didn't pull on the sides or the edges. It's not red on the scalp. She did a great job,and I know my daughter was fidgety cuz that's what she does. I think I'll be booking for myself as well. I also love that my daughter still looks like a little girl and not a grown woman too. Prices are amazing response time impeccable, clean environment, and Bea is as sweet as pie. I found this place looking for someone to do my micro twist locs. I was greeted with all smiles. Everyone was very nice. My only complaints are being though it was 3 people doing my hair, my parts are not uniform all around my head. They are different sizes and angles in some areas. My right size parts are bigger than the other ones. My middle part is not a middle part as it goes back. Also with 3 people doing your hair at once they are all pushing your head around every way at the same time . I understand having more hands on the head means it will go faster but it’s harder to make sure everyone is doing the same size parts. I paid $400 as well as tipped , which I do not mind paying at all. Just wish I didn’t have to fix my own hair after paying that amount of money. They do great work it would just show more if they took their time and did it just by themselves. The women who did the left side of my hair and the back did great !!!
