When we met with Tyler from West Shore Home to discuss replacing two showers, he provided extensive data on their five-star ratings and customer satisfaction. The initial response time and promptness of the company were highly commendable. Tyler promptly visited our house for an assessment after I contacted them online, and we agreed to design our new showers when both my wife and I could be present.
The project was swiftly scheduled, and installation took place only 15 days after our initial contact. Throughout the installation process, the crews, including Daniel, Barry, Manny, and JT, were welcoming and allowed me to observe and document the entire installation. The quality of the product surpassed our expectations, significantly improving upon the deteriorating showers we previously had.
While our experience was mostly positive, there were some minor annoyances. For instance, we noticed lines drawn on the walls to mark the upper boundaries of the showers, which were still visible after the installation. Additionally, we occasionally encountered workers playing music with explicit lyrics during the installation; this was not to our liking.
However, a few larger concerns require attention from the company. First, the billing provided only a bottom-line figure without any itemization. Although discounts were mentioned, we had to rely on their word without detailed breakdown. Second, we originally intended to replace one shower but decided to replace both simultaneously. Tyler, our design consultant, tried to save us money and recommended a 6-way magnetic handheld shower head for the first shower. We desired the same shower head for the second shower and inquired about it, but we were unable to ascertain the price and were directed to consider purchasing a shower head from Costco. Instead, we acquired a shower head from Lowe's. However, as per West Shore Home's policy, they could not officially install a shower head not purchased through them, due to warranty coverage. Despite this, the crew attempted to install the Lowe's shower head unofficially, but it failed the leak test. Subsequently, we returned the shower head to Lowe's and settled for the standard shower head, although we still wished to have the 6-way magnetic handheld shower head installed in the second shower.
Another issue arose with their customer service for existing customers. We were provided with a dedicated phone number to bypass their regular phone system but ended up leaving messages and playing phone tag, experiencing considerably slower response times compared to new customers. This delay persisted when we requested a contract for the installation of the desired 6-way magnetic handheld shower head.
Furthermore, the installation crew applied a roll-on anti-slip surface to the showers, but the strong fumes from it permeated our house. Despite opening windows, the fumes were so overpowering that we had to vacate our home for the evening; the strong fumes prevented us from sleeping at home.
Finally, we were not adequately informed, if at all, about the 24-hour restriction on using our showers after installation, until the crews left.
Though we interacted with several happy employees who emphasized the company's commitment to doing the right thing and not cutting corners, we felt that the company fell short in terms of post-installation customer service and transparency in billing. The lack of clarity and the additional charge of $407, after discounts, for installing the 6-way magnetic handheld shower head in the second shower, compounded by the difficulties we encountered, made us question whether the company had truly acted in our best interest. As a result, we gave a three-star rating. While we are satisfied with our new showers and appreciate the initial promptness and quality of work, improvements in post-installation support and billing transparency...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the most pleasant experience with this company. Several months ago Iāve purchased three replacement doors for my home. The design consultant Shelica, mentioned one of the many reasons of working for this company was the owners interest in giving back to the Warriors, who served our country. I submitted a modest summary of my military experience with information on how my disabilities affected my daily activities. I hadnāt thought much about that submission until I received a call from Shelica that I had won a shower rehab install. West Shore Homes is based in the East Coast and had branched out to the Phoenix area about 2-3 years ago. I had just won the first West Shore Homes warrior program in Arizona. Such a thrill! The entire process was absolutely overwhelming and such a grateful gift to me. I was very much blessed to meet and be a part of this life-saving charitable event. I would like to thank everyone involved in any part of this wonderful gift to me. Those that I am aware of are Shelica and Tony Breeland, who pushed my submission to corporate office for approval, then the guys who worked so hard to provide such a beautiful shower for me to enjoy for years to come.⦠Casey, Fabian, Brandon,Shawn, Jiovanni, David, and Christian. Next to the public relations team from the corporate office who were āsimply the bestā at making me feel at ease with their interviewing skills. My life has taken several turns that were very much unexpected and it has taken several years to overcome. Kirsten, John and Nicole were so wonderfully calming for the nervous anticipation I felt of the filming and interviewing process. It felt like I was meeting new friends. So thank you to West Shore Homes for the life-changing gift and the experience of meeting. Some wonderful people in the process. The end product wowed me with how beautiful it turned out and the quality of workmanship. I canāt thank you enough.
I messed up on my original review so hopefully I can add it hereā¦
I was very interested in replacing some worn out old exterior doors in my home and saw advertisement for West Shore Homes and thought I'd check them out! Shelica provided the initial consultation and she was amazing. Her customer service and professionalism was superior. Had some computer software issues but got fixed. I purchased/financed (special finance program) 3 doors which at first I thought were pretty expensive but the quality and overall rating of this company gave me a feeling of confidence. The installation crew were outstanding and did a professional job all the way through. Beginning with assuring the doors were correct to include the hardware. Inspecting the product, install, clean up, wrapping up the job and the kind mannerism was professional throughout the job. So a big thanks goes out to Daniel (pictured), Jordan, Zeke, Erickson, and Collin for job well done! I love the doors and how well they look....
