Volunteer Cabin Rentals — Local services in Pigeon Forge

We stayed at hootin' holler in October and it was great. The only complaint was the fireplace does not put out heat. |In December we stayed at sitting rock. It's a beautiful cabin but needs some TLC.|Some of the blinds are falling down. It's missing many curtain pieces. The carpets in the bedroom really needs to be changes. It wasn't very clean. There wasn't a broom and the vac didn't work. We were disappointed that it didn't have a singe Christmas decoration, so we put up our own tree and a few decorations that we found in the closet. There's no vent in the room with the jacuzzi tub so it gets quite cold in there. There were lots of dead bugs inside on the window ledges when we opened the blinds. There realty wasn't almuch of any "start up" things that they usually provide. |We had to call and ask for firewood. They were prompt with that. |There's not much for kitchen supplies, and what is there isn't great. The dishwasher was FULL of hot dishes still. |The microwave and dishwasher both had broken fronts on them. The beds were springy and old feeling. The comforters were dingy and dirty looking. |It's just sad that it's a beautiful cabin and it just looks like it's not given any attention. |The road is narrow and steep! Glad we didn't stay longer because I saw on fb groups where vehicles were stuck and piled up on the road to get to it. |The ladies in the office ARE FANTASTIC! THEY ARE SO NICE AND TRY TO HELP. |I don't understand why there are no garbage cans with lids, especially with bears in the area. My husband went to get in hot tub and there was a bear on the deck getting into the garbage!|It was a fun and beautiful cabin. |I would not request this cabin again due to it needing some TLC and it's driveway to get to it. |But i do recommend volunteer cabin rental because they...

We stayed in Chateau Bearden last week. The cabin itself was beautiful, but it does need a good deep cleaning. The TV didn't work the entire time we were there and we were told multiple times the repairman was on the way, but none ever showed up. I'm not convinced they were ever called since she couldn't remember which company she called even though she stated she called almost every day and even had the times they were supposed to arrive. The internet was also very intermittent. The most disappointing thing was the pool table. It was the main reason we chose this cabin. However, the rails were dead and literally disintegrating, the table stayed covered in tiny pieces of the rails where they are either dry rotted or just old, the ends of the table were literally falling off and only one pool stick was usable. The foosball table was also broken, but we don't know how to play anyway lol. There were lots of ants in all the bathrooms and in the kitchen as well and the jacuzzi tub in one bathroom had a broken faucet so we didn't even attempt to use it. The staff at check in/out were very nice, but other than "sorry" nothing was done to fix anything or compensate for amenities that were not actually available that...

We stayed at Harvest Moon in Sevierville . It was somewhat clean overall but there were a few things that needed attention. Bed covering in master was very dirty in places. We had to get blanket from closet and used our own. There were lots of cobwebs in windows. The rocking chair in great room was badly stained and dirty. No dust pan. I love to cook and felt that there should be better or more cookware. Plenty of dishes. There was ample space for what we needed, except the deck. Only 2 rocking chairs we had 5 people. Lots of hornets and wood boring bees that made it unsafe for us to sit outside with a baby. Hot tub was in really good condition. Plenty of towels! Pool was nice but gets crowded. Go early!! Steep drive in some places but roads was not bad at all. Beds were VERY comfortable! This cabin is in need of updating! TVs in bedrooms are old and small. No pics on wall. We loved the area. Views are great, privacy was great. We were there visiting our daughter and grandchild but I don’t think I would stay there again but would pick smoother cabin in the area.
